Want a sub Phatty pretty bad.
After getting the Taurus 3 I don't think I'll need it though.

If one could procure a Sunn 1200s and matching 6x12 for under a grand, would that be a good idea? Super slim chance the deal will happen, but want to make sure before I spend money that I really shouldn't spend.

If you're prepared to spend a fair bit of money to keep it working, then yeah.

I had some issues early on with mine, (we are talking about the tube amp right?) Turned out some of the resistors had failed and were no longer close to where they were supposed to be. Since that was fixed it's worked like a charm. Sounds SO FUCKING GOOD. I likey. I'd say go for it. Like any amp from 1969, if it has not been serviced, you should probably take it to your local amp genius and get it tuned up. It's a great amp and I wouldn't sell mine.

Duly noted. Yeah, it'll need a once-over, but I'll go for it if I can.

Clifton, I never really had time this weekend to go into detail on this matter so I am going to catch up with you now on it. I do not think this amp will get you that tone, I actually think no amp can get that exact tone. I think that is best achieved layering pedals on top of a slightly dirty, high power amp. I think the best bet would be GT120, run it with dirtish cleans then layer on pedals

Not spamming, just selling some stuff over in BST and thought I'd let you guys know there was a doombro discount for any of y'all. I can go halfway on US shipping if that sweetens the deal for anyone.
Cheers fellas :doom:
