annnnnnnnnd i'm a consumer whore (and HOW). as soon as my boy who's paypal acct i use gets back to me i'm ordering a Vitrium Mod. hopefully it tracks well on the higher bassy strings and if not on the lower at least glitches AWESOMELY.
If you don't dig it, let me know. Maybe I can "help you out." Nudge nudge wink wink and whatnot.

Man, I am going to sell a lot of my gear. Mostly because I want to do some cool stuff with my daughter for her birthday in November, then it's Christmas. I know I will end up buying a thing or two to cover the bases of all that I am selling.
Good but sad, but way worth it.

I am in that same boat. I am doing a liquidation of everything, to afford the huge amount of bills that just keep piling up.

It's hard to sell gear right now. I might be on the ambitious side with some of my pricing (not the pedals, but an amp and bass), but I'm expecting people to come in lower. Nobody is even trying to lowball me...very strange.

Also, Jrmy, how was Sleep? Did they completely melt your face into a slow, headbanging void of epic CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC Doomz?

pew PEW. if i don't dig it (doubbbbbtfullllll) and it sounds shit with bass and synths/drum machines, i will defo letchu know.

huh. so i read this somewhere awhile ago, but it's floating around tumblr and cracked right now, so i guess it's not as common knowledge as i thought but.....

you know the phrase/proverb "blood is thicker than water"? and how humans use it to mean "family is more important than friends"?

we are not only using it wrong, but the exact OPPOSITE of the original intended thought. the whole proverb is "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb".

people you CHOOSE and make an agreement with are more important than the randomly selected things you share a genetic structure with.

BOOM.

ONLINE FRIENDS.

WAY MORE IMPORTANT THAN FAM.

Talkbass certainly goes through phases on shit. So maybe it's just not what people are Gasing hard enough about right now. I know those fuckers have money though. I've sold so much shit on there it's ridiculous. On here...it's kind of a crap shoot. Everyone is too busy buying weed, cigarettes and booze to afford other shit. hahaha

So after having my MTD about a week and putting it up again my Roscoe, I can honestly say that they are tonally COMPLETELY fucking different. The Roscoe sounds more raw and has a very distinctive growl. The MTD is very articulate and fat at the same time. Both have amazing neck play and feel/sound so good. I think if I had to go with one, I'd be going with the Roscoe though. It's more my sound. Luckily I don't have to choose. :)

Yeah I am not going to list much here. ILF is mostly good for trading IMO.

Also, FUCK TB. I am selling other places...not giving them a dime if I can help it.

yahp.

i suck at listing things anyways. hence the box of loot i have traveling through the Wild East right now.

but i doubt i'm ever paying for a membership there again. other shenanigans are annoying, the way they tried to go in dry on Exxy was OFFENSIVE. assholes.

Sleep was pretty damn awesome. It's funny, I forgot that Al handled all of the vox, so I was totally put off balance by that. And his cadence was really... weird. But the riffs were massive, and the whole front of the club was one seething mass of mosh (I avoided that part). It looked like Al was putting his 4001 through three Orange stacks, while Matt was going through thee Marshalls (he had one head that looked distinctly Matamp-ish, but it blew midway through the third song, and was replaced with a Marshall post-haste). Needless to say, when they broke into the opening riff of Dragonaut midway through the set, the whole place went apeshit. It was quite a time.

gawd DAMNIT this has been bugging me for weeks. there was a song from an IDM guy that i think only put out one or two albums. he was on Warp or Rephlex, 'cause i had the cd and at that time the only one importing IDM to the US was them. i'd pick up pretty much anything from Warp at the Rasputins near me.

BUT. i can NOT fucking remember who it was. i have 3 or 4 HUGE albums of cd's i don't want to go through, and then mebbe not find it.

the album i'm thinking about was mostly straight ahead, less inventive Aphex style IDM. but there was one song where there was a laugh, then a guy saying, "oooopsy dawwwwsy oopsy DAISY" at different speeds. ring a bell? anybody know what the fuck i'm looking for?

CHIEFY. I'M LOOKING AT YOU.

Hmm, that one's not ringing a bell. But then again, I didn't get a lot of the one-off guys, I mostly stuck to the big 'uns, like Aphex, Autechre, Mu-ziq, Plaid, FSOL, etc.
