My next cabs are gonna be from Mammoth. Been drooling over his shit for a while now and this ain't helping.

And I missed the post about the Unreal Never Lived being your favorite tone. I love the tones on that album too. I went out and bought a Dynacomp because of him. I dig it, but I'm still not sure if I like it in my setup or not. I'm still playing with it some. I like how it kinda squashes some high end in my attack and fattens everything up. Kinda sounds like it cuts the gain down some on the Revelation, but it still sounds heavy as fuck.

even tho the dyna is what he used I am going to use a whole differently designed comp since the dyna is really just a sustainer/limiter and has little other tweak to it and can be a bit nosier. Also designing it to be running at a much higher headroom so you can put it post dirt and not getting more clipping into it so you can either preboost dirt or post control dynamics

Those are probably the prettiest stained cabs I've ever seen

Curiosity strikes. Are the K100s similar to the G12-H100s? There is a dude offering a pair for trade locally that I thought about trying to get, but I don't know how well my 5w amp would do with a 200w cab...

Yeah, I'd like a little more headroom outta this one but I really think it's just my amp. I'm running the dirty channel as my cleans. I need to put a lower gain preamp tube in v1 to fix that but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

The K100's are a clear and bold speaker with an almost sterile clarity. H100's are essentially the same thing; just an older variation. They're quite rare and highly sort after. They're also similar to the 80 watt variation of the K100, which you sometimes find on the second-hand market. What you play will be accurately reproduced; same goes for the amplifier's tonality and make-up.

As far as how well they will go with a low wattage amp, I can't say for sure but I loved a single K100 when I played a Matamp Mini-Rock through it. The Hot 100, the K100, and a couple of others were all top-notch to my ears. Whether that means the same thing in a 2x12 with a different amp, I don't know. All I know is that I like K100's in almost any application.

Ryan summit rules, just in case anyone missed that memo.

Fuck those mammoth cabs look swank.
Also Nick, I'd actually consider running a comp wit those specs. I was using the old dynacomp for a while there and I didn't mind it, but I find it works better for more proggy shtuffs.

Whiskey, you are always doing it right.

TJ, that's good news bud!

And angry, those Celestine's came up on my radar, defo gonna suss em out some more.

That's really fuckin' showy. I'd almost rather use it as a multipurpose cab/table furniture than tour it.

You guys are killing me with awesome again. That's what I like to see. I'm not going to quote everything but, whisk, thats fucking sweet. Those cabs are freaking beautiful and look stunning up close.
K100's I have a bunch. I like em best in an x pattern with a more smooth and mellow sounding speaker. They are very clear and can get a bit harsh if the amp and eq has to much high end it'll translate it to the sound bigtime. If your amp is known for being dark it can be great but if it's known for being bright you might want to mix in something else or skip them. In other words if you find yourself turning down the treble on the amp, not great, if you find yourself turning down the bass and adding treble boosters you might love them. I LIKE THEM. I just think its something that will work well in some setups and not so much in others.

I'm forgetting some cool shit. Oh yeah, Summit rules, good looking out. and some other stuff thats rad but I'm tired and dronked.

I wish I was dronked.....

I also just read my last post and realized I should probably stop replying with my iPad as the auto correct is killing my ability to convey meaning through written language!

So Ax, would you pair them with the peavey Sheffields, them gk100s?

my randall was cracklin like a mofo

i ran my bboard into it
but the clean just sounded so good
im not talkin about the 6505 itself
ive never played like full jams through a tube amp
so now im fuckin hooked
coupled with the acoustic150/612 stack
just fuck yes...thats all
ima start off cheap like everything else
but im comin for ya dunwich
my boner is hard and pulsing
and will not be ejaculated by semiconductor amplification

by the way the commander iv is fine
i just really dont care
wishd it was bust
so i HAD to replace it
