neaaaaaaaat. yah, like i said, i don't know enough about the build components of basses to really have an opinion. IG'NANT. I AM. but aesthetically i've always liked a darker stain with the wood grain visible and a dark fretboard and head and hardware. gold hardware freaks me out, i don't think i've seen a lot of basses where i like the lighter fretboard.

i kind of want a dark red natural looking stain body. sort of how bubinga or those Warwick's end up looking. that's always been hawt to me.

lol. except the remind me of Peanut from 311. noooooooooootttttttttt my favorite band.

i like the flash of lighter wood inbetween the top and the body, but, again no offense, that looks ugly and weird to me. i just never clicked with the more expensive tops and all.

Pistachio. Fucking PISTACHIO FINGERBOARD.

That's about as light as I would go on a fingerboard, but having a matching headstock makes a HUGE difference. Caps it off SO NICELY.

But what's your Dingy now? It has that awesome blue/green finish and the wood grain showing? It's one piece right?

Even still... it LOOKS fancy as hell and I love the finish. If it was a solid color, I wouldn't like it nearly as much.

Eqers - yah. i was talking to Gary (?) when i was trying to order one last time. he kept giving me kind of conflicting answers. he's send me a price list that had an option for custom color, then say there were no transparent finishes, then send me a pic of that black transparent...... i'm going to wait until i have a g or so set aside so i can order as soon as we're done talking then just call them up. email was odd and non..... conclusive.

they're the nicest guys over there though.
