tell me you Collecting Bastahds.
why multiple basses? i want a second Dinger but that's just for backy uppy reasons.
i am super duper happy with the one bass.
meow?
First reason.... I'm a whore. Of the worst kind.
My OCD tendency just doesn't allow me to have a single *anything* if it's something I dig..... instruments, pedals, books, fleshlights,etc.... yada yada..
Second... I have about 6 different tunings I keep mine in. Not necessarily my choice for solo wankery, but it's leftover from the days when I played with guitarists who had multiple instruments, all different tunings, and usually a floating trem which makes it impossible to change tunings on the fly. Bitches.
Third... Even when talking about the same models of the same brand... they all sound and play different. Some of them
very different. I use my MTD's for different styles... one of them it's almost impossible to tap on. Another one you can tap for days, but can't slap for shit because of the pitch of the neck angle and the wood combo is just way too harsh. Another one has a wicked pick tone, but way too grindy for thumpy fingerstyle, etc...
This is all because of the way I set them up, not because they're lacking in some way. Personally, I just like multiple basses to do
exactly one thing perfectly rather than jack of all trades, master of none.
