if we're turning this into a best deal competition i landed my 808 plus a CSQ-600 for $800, a second 909 for $900 that took me two days to flip for $1900 and a korg GR-1 gated spring reverb for ten bucks.

I usually don't happen upon good deals very often, the only time I got away with a stupidly good deal was the '64 Gibson LG1 for $100.
Good deals with: Officer Bukowski, Caesar, BriBri, Amorphous, ThePastRecedes

Last year I scavenged an old EL84/GZ34 Pilot tube amp from a stereo console at the local junkyard.
Someone had already beaten me to the power/rectifier tubes, but there were still 3 Telefunken ecc83s, hidden...that I gladly added to my tube stash.

Sold the amp to net $500 a week later.
With that funding I purchased my vintage DMM and a Lateral Sound Primer.

2 months back, traded the Primer to Bongoben for the bubble font v7 Muff he got for a steal.
2 weeks after that, traded the v7 Muff for a DM-2 with sealed trimpots...which had been on my GAS-list for months.

So after all is said & done, I got exactly what I wanted: outstanding examples of a DMM and DM-2 for next to nothing, and the fellas on the other end of said trades also got great deals; with everyone coming out ahead and being able to pay it forward.

AND YOU CANT BEAT THAT WITH A BAT :animal:
[B/S/T shoutouts] Shortlist: Hollow Earth|Ct5|856|Condor|Thermae|OP-1|half track reel2reel|Prophet6 ... :whoa:

One time I bought a fuzz factory for $55 and traded a Devi 25 boost (probably worth $35 tops used) for a digitech whammy and I made mad bank by flipping them.

It's only temporary, so the eau Claire thunder is still for sale.
