You'd be surprised. We actually have a couple of really good beer stores here that stock brews from all around the country. Pretty sure I've had some Three Floyd's before. I wanna say it was their double imperial IPA. It was god damn delicious.
And Zak lives in Indiana now! We WILL HAVE THIS BEER!
Get yourself some Zombie Dust, as well. It's a phenomenal American Pale Ale. Also

Hennepin by Ommegang is probably the most well-known saison.

The style itself is Belgian in origin that was brewed by farmers.

Mostly associated with them are citrus flavors, spice flavors, acidity and more carbonation than your usual ale.

I should preface that saisons are a beer style I don't know tremendously well. It's kinda vague as to what is or isn't a saison. And the brewing class I took a few years ago we didn't cover too much on 'em. Furthermore I am much more of an IPA or APA kinda guy. That said, Three Floyds makes some extremely tasty beer and at minimum it will be cool to taste and probably very tasty.

Let's just be glad it isn't a lambic.

With a name like Razorhoof, thats got to be good beer.

had a good jam tonight. Came into it with some lyrics and a riff and we finished up with a new song. Needs a little polished up but the whole thing is there. I love writing with these guys. the riffs just flow.

A little lighter and more refreshing than what I'd expect a High on Fire beer to be, but they are apparently hopping it heavily so I'm so down. I thought it'd be a double IPA or imperial stout but what do I know.
Sounds tasty, but exactly the opposite of what I expected. Razorhoof sounds like the name of a double IPA

Do you brew? That's my new favorite hobby. I have a cream ale conditioning, an amber ready to bottle, and an oktoberfest fermenting right now. Gotta stock up before the baby arrives! After she is here safe and sound, I will probably brew a dubbel and a stout for the winter.

And in reference to your other post, holy shit the Belgians know how to brew up some tasty beer. Ommegang makes some delicious beers. I am pumped to try their Game of Thrones stout - I love it when two of my dorky hobbies converge :!!!:

Can't wait to hear it.

Also, that Explorer is fucking amazing. Seriously thinking about getting you to build me a guitar once I get my savings built back up. Or at least sending one of my LPs up to you for a good setup. You do amazing work.

Three Floyd's is about as DOOM as they come when we're talking breweries, here.

Zombie Dust is definitely a killer brew and is more than worth trying. The beers the released this year for Pig Destroyer and Municipal Waste were also both top notch and enjoyable -- admittedly, I had been drinking all day IPA from Founders for the duration of the day prior to having the last two so the change of pace may have altered my judgment but I doubt it. Three Floyd's makes awesome beer.

They do a sweet festival every year to coincide with their limited Russian Imperial Stout. That stout is known as Dark Lord and it is released on Dark Lord's Day. I think, as far as Imperial Stouts go, of which I like many, this is one I'm not a fan of, but the pomp and ceremony surrounding the day is amazing. This last April Lair of the Minotaur, Sweet Cobra, Pig Destroyer, Municipal Waste and High On Fire all played sets and hung out with metalheads and beer snobs -- and those of us between.

It was, additionally, home to the best Brat I've ever eaten. They made spicy beer brats with the Alpha King and put hot giardiniera all over it. It was. AMAZING.

If you're in the midwest, or near enough, you should definitely be making attempts at taking the trek to Dark Lord Day if you can.
