It is VERY annoying to me as well. It was a force thing, so what could I do? I use my gmail account for my clients at work and for other business type stuff. Now it's linked to gmail and everything else in the fucking world, so my clients could potentially look at my youtube channel. Not the worst thing, but not the greatest either. I was trying to be semi anonymous on youtube as a person. I had to change my name too because I was worried it would offend my clients. So annoying.

I can't stand how Youtube and Google+ are tied together now. I don't want anything to do with G+. If I did, I would intentionally tie my Youtube page to it.
Let me decide what I want connected to what.

So this. I only signed up for G+ to put up an amp mod slideshow because I wasn't hip to other image sharing methods. They fucked with me because my name isn't a "real person" name. Look, I only do 'nyms for anything online because I am not into sharing reality with online. If I do, I expect to be paid as a content provider, and besides: The whole world is all about non-"real person" names now. Paris Hilton, Lady Gaga, Skrillex, Grover Norquist. So I had to go with a more innocuous "real person" name that is still a 'nym. Unfortunately, I thought of using Dixon Ormus too late.

Anyway, back to Google. Fuck them for putting bloat in Android so that everything can be connected to a G+ account that I have only used for one thing ever. Always a fight of them trying to strong-arm what is supposed to be a user-controllable mobile platform. I won't be buying an Android phone ever again.
