It is! He builds cool stuff, but he's more of a hobbyist (makes good $$$ as a mechanic) so he doesn't really doll his amps up - simple head shells, etc. - but quality-wise they hang with stuff I've played or own that cost 3-4 times as much. He built a 20-watt lunchbox head out of a projector amp that was SO LOUD and clean for 20 watts. Missed the boat on that one, but glad I got this one.
I think I'm gonna buy a new pedal pretty soon, I'm thinking out these Custom AB Synth, Frantabit, RRR, Context, DBA Echo Dream, Empress Tape Delay, Year 4545/2525

So excited to be going back home to a Custom Shop 339, Danocaster, Matamp 1224mkii, Marshall 4x12 and hoards of pedals I bought while overseas
Just spent 40 minutes on it and my first impressions are very positive. I like it a lot better than the Rusty on baritone. If I find the time this week maybe a demo if I can scrounge up a decent microphone.

'84 white face modded by Keeley and FX Doctor. It has upgraded caps for bass, a clean blend, LED, and it was touched by Ron.
I got my elements from him, and although it wasn't on his board ever, It still has Bongripper Mojo in my mind
