is it silly to look for a frame and have a friend that's tood at word work build one to spec for us?
Trailers are expensive for realz! Maybe it a better idea to find a friend that is good at wood work though :p
In Florida, however builds a trailer is liable for the trailer after it is sold. So, maybe that plays into the pricing?

Tom has done such a good job on this place that I look down upon almost every other forum. Really need to donate some here. ILF is worth it.
At least pictures display properly on TB ;)

Talkbass ain't cheap to run. Just looking at the Alexa traffic ratings, Talkbass is around 28000. Ilovefuzz is around the 1,800,000 range, that's a couple of orders of magnitudes in difference. Though I would guess the 20 bucks is more about creating a barrier to entry for spammers and scammers than it is to offset site costs. When you get that many people on the forum a barrier to entry is needed even if its not quote a 100% effective. The amount of transactions happening on TB on a day to day basis is probably quite high and there are surprisingly few people who have gotten screwed on a deal there.

Plus 20 bucks to sell the 3K (conservative guess) in gear I may have sold this year...a drop in the bucket. Ebay would have ate up 15% of that 3k, craigslist and Ilovefuzz would have taken me many times longer. Different tools for different jobs and whatnot.

yeah, but they let their mods run rampant and one gave out Excane's contact information and work address to try to get people to harrass him and the obvious intention was to fuck with his money making livelihood.

so.... fuck them. might not matter at all to them, but they get none of my money.

and i LIKE a few of the mods that i've talked to over there. GRydyeyydgdguyruyyyhaggrahhhx is a nice guy, Bryan Tyler is a pimp, i forget the name of the mod i met and did a trade with and he built me a pedal.

but.... yeah. not supporting that. nope. i'll deal with CL guys or ask people i know that have an account or fuck with TGP.

also, had some interesting conversations with the bass players in the other bands we played with last night. i'm used to y'all and it still doesn't seem like i have an excesive board. hell, i have a MID sized board here. and that's goooooood.

but usually at shows other dooders have like one Boss or an EHX FUCK EHX FUCK THEM SO HARD or two. one of the guys had a Sansamp and a Carbon Copy and another ped or two. we talked about how his drummer used to work at GC (we both laughed and said thaaaaat's a problem) and every time he brought something digital to practice the drummer would freak out and be "ONLY ANALOG ONLLLY ANALOOOOOG". i was like, "well. he just spent like 10 minutes telling me how much he liked the sounds i got out of my rig, tell him at least half of my pedals are digital.".

it's just so WEIRD playing with..... not you guys.

an All ILF Show would be SO FUCKING FUN.

Oh, totally fair critique for sure. TB absolutely has its share of problems. Just don't pretend ILF and TB are playing the same game (not saying that you are saying that), it isn't fair to either site.

naw. i think they're wildy different sites. but that's good.

i don't hate TB or the people on it. there's some interesting people, but mostly annoying herd/uneducated stuff. it serves a purpose and is geared towards a different person than ILF or TGP are. i get it, and it's good there's different spot. but shit like blanketly not being able to criticize a mod annoy me. whatevah.

FUCK. just realized i might have to pay for one last year sub. i can't edit my sig unless i do and it's all out dated links. the one thing TB has going for it is it reaches a LOT of people. like, pretty much every single person that's a regular over here is Pure Fire Win Crotch, but there are a lot less ILF'ers. because YAY.

Every time I look at TB just to see what sort of info is over there, it just depresses me. It just doesn't seem very fun or friendly. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong parts.
I guess ILF has spoiled my interpretation of what a forum should be.

Maybe I could see the value in paying for a sub if I actually shipped basses or amps. But I don't have the dedication for that these days. Too many chances of something getting messed up.
Perhaps being a younger person has me feeling all "ew, where's the fun" when it comes to TB. Obviously they aren't after my demographic necessarily.

It works very well with my setup. It's fairly colored and a bit grindy in a way similar to how I was using my Monarch to add color to my other amp which was super clean and Hifi. My distortions are sounding a lot better through this combo as well. Fucking love my Hoof Fuzz.

When I joined 9 years ago it was a lot more fun and odd, and more odd people too. It started going down hill when they started doing all the adds and sponsored stuff, that's when the whole don't question goose-stepping stared. Anymore when I go on there [BECAUSE NONE OF YOU FUCKERS BULLFIDDLE  ] yeah it just depresses me.
