These are the funnest scifi movies, and for this reason NO ONE WILL EVER CONVINCE ME THAT FLASH GORDON IS A BAD MOVIE. Were they in space in that movie? Why was Queen's music so terrible? That man with the beard has to be an animatronic creation from the future!

Does anyone remember what that space-western movie that came out a few years ago was called? I've been trying to remember the name of it. It's in black and white, and it seems like it takes place in bars for the whole thing. I'm not sure if I've seen it, but I love space westerns!

Does Carpenter's The Thing count? That movie fucking rules. What about Logan's Run? Not really spacey, but pretty awesome.

Someone mentioned it, but the Quiet Earth is pretty cool. Really, most of the si-fi from the 70s kicks ass.

It's been FOREVER since I've seen it (seriously, like 20 years or something) but what about Howard the Duck?
i have the thing & logan's run, both awesome flicks.

that sucks that district 9 was tainted w/ that mentality for you. i love that flick so much... can't believe i haven't seen elysium yet, i just hardly ever hit the theater...

It's a fun movie, worth it for the alley fight scene alone.
