do you have home-owners/renters insurance? i got mines specifically for gear. it covers if i get robbed from my car or a show or at practice.

i mean, everything would take FOREVER to replace, but at least getting the money to do it would help tons.

oog. that made me sick to read.
Yeah, my home-owners insurance probably would have covered it all, we have a blanket policy for all of our personal property. But I'm sure it still would have been a very shitty process and I'm glad to have avoided it.

bigchiefbc wrote:Well, I've got a hell of a story, guys. Both my G&L and my Ric and my covers-band pedalboard were almost ripped off yesterday. Someone broke into our practice space (and two other band rooms as well) and they had gathered up my basses, my guitarist's main guitar, and both of our pedalboards and a bunch of other shit from other bands, all into a pile right next to the window they broke in from. From what I understand, while they were gathering up all of the gear to load out, they set off the building alarm, and they must have just booked it. So one of the bands went to the practice spot yesterday to find all 3 bands' shit all piled together next to a window and all of our doors smashed in.

I don't usually leave the Ric at the practice spot, but I did last week because I was running really late going home after practice, and I just said fuck it. Of course that's the week someone breaks in.

So, I fucking lucked the hell out that I didn't lose any of my shit. But now we definitely need to find a new practice spot.
Wow! I'm just glad you still have your shit  that's fucked up.

Fuck. Close call.
I have had a 5 string Warwick Corvette stolen from me a long time ago. Made me so sick. I had saved for months for it (I was a broke kid).

Yesh, Be careful out there.

I tend to get stoned and drunk; when I'm jamming with friends, bands, whatever. It's really easy to just say fuck it and leave shit behind. But even practicing in what I considered to be a well protected space (a residence in which there was usually always someone home) there have been instances,...when I get bad vibes off of people that are around,...where I will bite the bullet and at least take my pedals and basses home. I would die if my Warwick got stolen. It's not like it's a collectors item or anything like that but there is so much sentimental value and attachment for me with that bass. Seen me through all kinds of transitions, good times and dark times.

It's been in pawn several times but never lost, always gotten out of hock. It's probably one of the only possessions that I've had for such a long time (13 years).

I just. I can't see it not being in my life. That's a big part of why I've got renters insurance. $11 a month tacked onto my already low car insurance just makes sense even if I never have to use it. (USAA,...if you can become a member,...usually reserved for Military Officers and their dependents; once a member always a member, I highly recommend).

Oh yeah. I met Domvan IRL earlier this week. He's cooler than all of you all. Very well spoken and intelligent young man. And he digs in.

Just for clarity, I can maybe buy one of those.
I have had all of them but the B7K, Space & TimeFactor (but I have had a B3K).

I have one mini multi modulation pedal, it is cool, I would hold it too so that I could have 2 types of modulation at once if I wanted (if I go Mobius or ModFactor).
I have no proper delay pedal (although the PitchFactor can do a delay if I need, but then no other awesomeness from it).
I have no real OD/Dist plus the DI would be super handy for home recording on the B7K.
I have a cool little 2 knobber Reverb pedal from DannyW, simple nice dubbiness.

So excluding the B7K, I could use something with stereo ins and outs (for synth use too! w/the PitchFactor). The Mobius and ModFactor both have some stuff that the other doesn't have, ModFactor for a good bit cheaper. TImeLine is a boss, but I score the TimeFactor for a good bit cheaper and the PitchFactor has Crystals so I got that Ice covered. Space just looks cool/Fun as hell.

Rack stuff is cool but I need to be real with myself, I don't want to get deep into menu diving.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINEEEEEEEEEEEE.

lol. unless you've got hookup on deals on the separate boxes. H9'er does the stereo ins and outs and you can add shtuff to it to have the Best Of All Worlds Pimp Multi Factor Box. it IS only one effect at a time, but so are all the Factors. i lurrrrrrrrv mine.

and the 'pad/'phone interface is so GOOD. all the yumminess of deep menus but with a big screen and flip throughs instead of sub menu diving on a tiny lcd screen. having each knob named what they do is GOOD. flipping to the next screen to see all the deeper parameters is GOOD. setting expression pedal stuff to evarrrrrrrrrythang and a couple things at the same time is GOOOOOD. using the 'pad big touch screen as a modulation woob woob is GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.
