Guys, if this whole thing upsets you, please, do not shop at walmart.
Just saying.

Going to veer off topic a bit here but this is a large part of why I don't shop at Wal-Mart, either. That and they also treat their employees like shit, going with a huge number of part time employees with very few full time so that they don't have to pay any benefits like health insurance, 401k etc. They then turn around and show these employees how to get welfare, taking the burden off themselves to care for their employees and let the tax payers do it. Those "every day low prices" end up being quite a bit higher when that is taken into account. Think it's all about saving you money? Yeah, that's it... and why 4 of the top 10 wealthiest families in North America are Walton's (as reported by Forbes).

Edit: I may have posted this before but I have an undying hatred for that company.

Isnt this kind of a similar thing to whats happening to JC Penny right now? Apparently jcp tried to get rid of all their constant sales and lowered prices as a whole, but lost money. So they went back to constant sales and higher prices because thats what people want and they're having trouble keeping up with it.

Even the big ones. They have such huge purchasing power that they can dictate to quite a large degree how much they will pay for product. It forces a change from all suppliers to cut corners/costs whether in quality or where/how their products are being produced. Ever seen their produce? Most god awful shit ever. Meat? I guess if you like your stuff cut in a centralized warehouse, pumped with chemicals to keep that meaty red color that's supposed to tell you it's "fresh" and shipped halfway across the country to be sold to you by someone who can't even tell you what cut of meat it is or where on the animal that cut even comes from. But that saves a lot of money since they won't have to have trained butchers/cutters in every store, and they're running a huge advertising campaign to promote these items. Some people are stupid enough to believe it, obviously.

I wondered what had happened to JC Penny. I remember it being awesome in my childhood, my mom would shop for all of my clothes there. Was in there a few weeks ago with my wife and it just looked so run down, like no one cared at all

This is what I was thinking..... If prymaxes sale price is lower then what you sold them to them for, then its a brilliant move to buy it all back right now. Free money, and more stock for yourself!
