BLACK HOLE!!! How could I have forgotten that one? I had the evil red robot (Maximilian?) and one of the little round good robot action figures when I was a kid. Gotta go rewatch that.

Buckaroo Banzai seems like the movie itself came from outer space... dunno if that counts...

Christmas on Mars. It was all shot in an abandoned grain silo or Wayne Coyne's backyard.

Lifeforce is awesome.

Does Carpenter's The Thing count? That movie fucking rules. What about Logan's Run? Not really spacey, but pretty awesome.

I'm finding it harder and harder to find sci-fi movies that don't feel like they were written by video game nerds, accompanied by video game-esque plots. Sorry Space6oy, but that's all I could think of during like 90% of District 9.

Someone mentioned it, but the Quiet Earth is pretty cool. Really, most of the si-fi from the 70s kicks ass.

It's been FOREVER since I've seen it (seriously, like 20 years or something) but what about Howard the Duck?
