haha totally! I think we're all gonna be some seriously high level dudes soon!
I like that idea too, different quest themes... a whole quest of modulation sounds, a whole quest of time based sounds.. could be cool!
I can pretty easily get caught up in the coolness of nostalgic things and man, that Console idea really hit that spot for me... I think it's gonna happen and be really cool.

I think it will too eventually, but it's fun to jump on the band wagon
it seemed to be moving along nicely last time I checked in, just not heard much of it recently. These things take time! Each Chip would be like a tiny NES cartridge! You need to get some Nintendo Styled Dr. Scientist Stickers and stick them on one of these little anti static electronic boxes like the old nintendo cartridge sleeves.

Re: Been having a lot of fun with this lately....
Here's the patch info I'm working with for the BQ, this is what I intend it to have for launch and they're all close to ready except for #8 and finishing details with the rest like small filters etc to polish them up.
Keep in mind this only shows the digital controls, the pedal will also have analog controls for mix, treble, volume, plus a bass trimpot on the pcb.
Dr. Scientist BitQuest - Patch Info
1 - Low/Medium Gain With Frequency Boost
Control 1 - Gain
Control 2 - Freq
Control 3 - Freq Level
2 - High Gain With LPF + HPF
Control 1 - Gain
Control 2 - LPF Cutoff
Control 3 - HPF Cutoff
3 - Very High Gain With Notch Filter And Gate
Control 1 - Gain
Control 2 - Notch Freq
Control 3 - Gate
4 - Bit Crusher With Sample Rate Reducer
Control 1 - Gain
Control 2 - Bit Depth
Control 3 - Sample Rate
5 - Pitch Shifter With Gain And Gate
Control 1 - Gain
Control 2 - Pitch Shift Freq
Control 3 - Gate
6 - Lead Distortion With Delay (pre-set wet/dry mix and delay level)
Control 1 - Gain
Control 2 - Delay Rate
Control 3 - Repeats Amount
7 - Gain With Sustain (pre-set wet/dry mix)
Control 1 - Gain
Control 2 - Reverb Length
Control 3 - Reverb Level
8 - Multi-Modulation With Amplification (pre-set modulation depth/level)
Control 1 - Gain
Control 2 - Mod Effect (Chopper Trem, Flanger, Phaser)
Control 3 - Rate
You can play with this sucker for hours, it's really fun... even if you don't like the gain sounds it'll still be really fun and useful. I dig the gain sounds though!

I can't wait to get my hands on those first three patches(levels?)!
I like the idea of the internal trim pot; even if I will barely ever adjust it, it's nice knowing that it's there. That or go for something crazy like mini knobs for the treble and bass controls. Then again, there's a big debate over trim pots so I'm really not sure. I do like extra control, though.
Also, will there be expression ins?

Those patches look rad, definitely excited about this. With so many possible sounds, there's no excuse for anybody NOT to buy it.
I can't wait to see what awesome enclosure artwork will happen too

This looks so cool Ryan!
Could easily have multiples of this one on a board.
Every time you stomp on it it will be like levelling up!

I haven't been following this thread but your last post Ryan that looks sick as far as setups. It seems like it will be the end all utility pedal. I don't use most of those effects enough to justify their own placement but in this package it will cover a lot of ground and fit nicely on the pedal board. I'm mainly looking at using patches 4-8. Is it still gonna go in a elements sized box? Would expression control on one of the controls be possible? If you line up the controls right that alone could be really cool like repeats time, reverb amount, or modulation rate. But I dunno if that's possible with the digital chip. Shit you could just get two of these and have just about any sound you would ever need between the two.

Re: Been having a lot of fun with this lately....
Thanks guys!
I've got it setup with an expression input for wet/dry mix.. I'll always think that wet/dry mix is the most powerful expression addition. I've been pondering changing it to control 2 or control 3... I don't think control 1 (gain) would be a good choice, too big of a volume difference to work with.. but the thing is they're digital controls and require a 50k resistance to have their full range and work properly, not like the analog mix control that can work with 10k to 500k.
And there's only room for one expression jack since this is a through-hole build.. I think it's gonna be mix...

MAN that sounds awesome Ryan. LOTs of great stuff packed in there, with interesting takes on distortion and crushing and modulation. Excited!

This sounds perfect for my setup! I always have that one spot on my board where I could throw any effect and I never can make any kind of decision as to what should go there... until now

This is more of a theoretical question, but is it possible to have some sort of dip switch inside the pedal to select what the expression input controls? I know that it's probably pretty simple to choose with something like the Timeline, since they just change the destination in the software, but what about for analog parameters?
