I think I have lost all of my photos
But for the longest time I ran boss SD1 into boss dd20 and was perfectly happy but then I got a taste for fuzz and phaser, got a wicker muff and nano small stone, joined ILF and it all went downhill for there haha
I really miss that dd20

Re: WHERE were you back WHEN? (Pedal board thread spinoff)
Back when men were men and the internet had no point other than trolling ARPAers,

Circa 1991-92, recording.
Back then my "pedalboard" was a HM-2 and later a Boss ME-6B (which I still pull out on occasion).
Roland Chorus Echo, '64 Bassman, '64-65 L plate Mustang. And I could still walk, which to me is far more important than the toys.
I have better toys now. This is the GOLDEN age of cool shit for cheap.

Re: WHERE were you back WHEN? (Pedal board thread spinoff)
Back in the good 'ol days (and for years), my "pedalboard" was a Distortion +.
Then, I got a green Russian Muff.
Then, an RV5...
it was all downhill from there.
This pic is of my first, official "board". I used the door from some IKEA sheving thing....

AWESOME!!

Oh man.
Oldest shot I can find. Particleboard wrapped up with a pair of old cord pants that didn't fit me...
Signal chain was wonky as hell!

I would have dirty sloppy sechs with this board, and raw dog it while I'm at it.MEC wrote:![]()

I really like this board; I could make some sweet sounds with it. What's the 4-knobber? I feel like I should know.

pedalboard 0.1 by Julius L Deane, on Flickr
This is the first time I put together an actual board. I still think these pedals are great, except maybe the Echo Park, but that's only because I completely hate the design of the ToneCore pedals. How did they even make them so heavy??

pedalboard 1.8 by Julius L Deane, on Flickr
I wish I had more pictures of this one. The board is made from a few pieces of a computer case. This was a transitional stage. I think I was waiting on an AB-Synth and a Verbzilla unit. I think I only used the "crunchtone" or whatever at one practice because I had no other dirt.

pedalboard 2.0 by Julius L Deane, on Flickr
This is where that one was headed. I only liked the Boss Phaser for the step mode, but our drummer hated it because it was never on time and it messed him up. It didn't last long. This was my first real board, a Rondo. We still use it, but it has a microkorg and mixer and stuff on it now.

pedalboard late 2010 by Julius L Deane, on Flickr
I think this is from around the time I got on ILF, mainly because this is one of the last boards I have with only one fuzz. I look at some I had with four, and I'm like wtf was I doing with that, although I can usually remember at least one riff/song I used everything for and why. Also clearly old because there's only one reverb.
