I had a Suzuki SV650 for a few years back in my early 20s. I sold it to buy my wife her engagement ring. I miss it

NICE.
Dang. So jealous! Have you been out riding yet? Any problems with it?
I was thinking of this thread the other day and started looking at motorcycles again, even read Proficient Motorcycling, but man...I'm never gonna get a bike :idk:

yeah, spent the weekend at the AMA vintage days festival, landed it in the swap meet there. talked the dude down from $900 to $700. its only issue is that its front brake needs tightened. that & some dings & scratches, which i actually wanted since i'm still a newb at this. he tossed in turn signal lights for it but i had to order mirrors, also ordered replacement grips since they're old & hardened (it's a '75).

until a couple months ago i thought i'd never get a bike either. :!!!:

edit: also damn, your new avatar is badass, what's that from? :animal:

What do you guys think about the newer Triumph bikes? Good, bad, ugly?

dunno about newer ones, but the oldies are awesome... my dad has a 76 silver jubilee, pretty sure it's his favorite bike (and he has a bunch of 'em...).

82 xs650. oil is leaking out the valve cover and head gasket. it started running really rough then died. spark plugs look fine. i'll let the pros take a closer look. same thing happened to the cb750 I had before. I rebuilt the engine. this time i'm just taking it to the shop. gaskets were a huge pain. I might have them adjust the carbs while they have it. I just wanna ride and play bass. everything I fix breaks.
