my interwubs just quit on me the other day. they just came out and replaced the cable from the pole to my house then from that connection into my house. seems to be a bit quicker, and.... you know. it actually CONNECTS. which it was not doing before.

got the fretless Jazz Bass out yesterday and amused myself working out the parts on "Starship Trooper" by Yes. i love that bass line, especially the E major arpeggio that turns into an A chord when you end on the C#.
