G.A.S. inspired Peavey/Sunn creation
Planning to use the Sunn 1200s & Peavey 2x15 for a new project, but then when I was stacking equipment to save apartment space it got a bit out of hand..

I want to be murdered by the sound of that rig.

T-40 FTW. I kind of want to put together an all peavey rig. T-40 into Classic 120/120 into 2 215s.

I've got the Peavey Mark VI head to match the cabinet, but the Sunn is quite the beast that I had been waiting for quite a while now. Love the Sunn gear.Derelict78 wrote:T-40 FTW. I kind of want to put together an all peavey rig. T-40 into Classic 120/120 into 2 215s.

Is that a 1x15 + Horn Sunn cab on top??? I've got two of those unloaded sitting in my basement, was considering turning them into guitar 1x15's for portable use.

Yes but it's a rather low 80W unfortunately so when I used it with the Coliseum I was careful not to turn the volume up too loud so I don't blow it.Ancient Astronaught wrote:Is that a 1x15 + Horn Sunn cab on top??? Dug it out of this farmers basement where it was sitting in mint condition for 20 years.

That's awesome! When I got my two, from a similar story, the cones had dry rotted so I threw some guitar 15's in there. They sound awesome with some high wattage 15's and the horn taken out.khaavren wrote:Yes but it's a rather low 80W unfortunately so when I used it with the Coliseum I was careful not to turn the volume up too loud so I don't blow it.Ancient Astronaught wrote:Is that a 1x15 + Horn Sunn cab on top??? Huh. I'm going to try out my 6-string guitar on that Coliseum/15" now that you've mentioned that (only tried it on bass before!)
I've got another Sunn combo amp that I didn't include in the picture. Supposedly really rare: Sunn Stinger 100W solid state combo amp with 12"
Sounds wonderful as well. Got too much love for the Sunn gear.
