Brazilian Referee Decapitated by Fans After He Stabs And Kills Player -

20-year-old Otavio da Silva (pictured above) expelled player Josenir Abreu, 30, from the game last weekend, but the two got into a fist fight over the call. Things only got worse from there. Silva took out a knife and stabbed Abreu, who then died on the way to the hospital. Now, just when you think things couldn't get any worse, they did. A lot worse.

Spectators at the soccer game, including Abreu's family and friends, rushed the field. The angry mob beat and tortured the referee, until they heard of Abreu's death upon arriving at the hospital. That's when they stoned him to death, lynched and quartered his body. (Oh, but it gets even worse!) The mob then decapitated Silva and put his head on a stake in the middle of the soccer field for all to see.

I think that's less about soccer and more about toxoplasmosis. Estimates say that over 70% of Brazilians are infected.

I'd consider myself a fanatic of sorts. I follow a bunch of teams from a variety of leagues like Arsenal, Fenerbahçe, Parma, Valencia, PSG, Cruzeiro, Boca, Colo Colo, Melbourne Heart and Karsiyaka. I try to watch as much as possible but only regularly watch Arsenal and Fener matches and also go to Heart games because they're local.

man team usa is making me crazy today

great goal by cuba, but the US just looks like they are sleeping

you don't poke in 5 second half goals every match
have to come out more aggressive.

Dude, it is SEL-tic like the b-ball team :animal: The most common thing Americans get wrong is calling Celtic "The Celtics", I'm assuming that's because of the b-ball team.

One of the coolest Celtic facts is Gil Scott Heron's Dad played for us

1. FC Köln

A terrible team, but what can you do? It's my hometown.
I also like Sporting Lisbon and my girlfriend might get me into liking Beşiktaş.
