I really hope this is real.

If you check the Fenederz webshite, they just posted AVRI '65s with dots/binding and matching headstock.

Yeah, I'd be so into this. I'm glad I didn't buy a Mustang Bass yet, cuz I'd rather one of these, me thinks.

I recently scored a Sonic Blue CS Bass VI and it's such a dreamy instrument! They based it off the old MIJ AVRI VI model cosmetically, with the dots as opposed to the bound neck with block inlays on the original Bass VI and no matching headstock. Plays so well, sets up without any issue, and the Custom Shop killed it with the pickups, winding 'em a bit hotter than usual. Pretty much sold my 4-string bass the day this showed up.

Really cool to see Fender FINALLY making these available at reasonable prices. I'm hoping more string companies (specifically DR) take note and get around to offering a better Bass VI selection. LaBella rules tho, offering custom nickel plated round wound sets for around $25 shipped in a week or less, a crazy bargain!

Here's mine, setting it up with new strings and tuning today actually. :thumb:

Very awesome Fender. Seems like they've woken up a little bit. Now if only they offered Japanese stuff over here, you know the market would surely explode even more. These Squier offerings keep getting better and better

The MIJ stuff has always been so incredibly awesome yet never available. Fuck that's frustrating!

I want this to be as real as anybody!
LOL

OSG is never wrong. There is a theory that fender purposely leaks shit there to generate preorder hype.

Would it be sacrilegious to buy one of these when it comes out and totally remove the SSS pickup setup and 4 way switches to just throw a single bridge humbucker in there then have pickguardian make a pickguard? Cause that's all I can think about right now.....

Everyone on OSG whined about the Pawn Shop model having a bridge HB. Then it came out and people were like, "Dayum, that bridge bucker sounds FAT!"

The flexibility of the 3 singles and 4-way switching is pretty great with every setting sounding both unique and awesome, tons of variety. A bridge HB would be nice tho...

I mean, the VM line is pretty notorious for being a platform for modding. Do it up.
