Had it and I honestly thought it sounded okay, i didn't give it much of a try I thought it sounded meh and stacking it with my rat caused a metric fuckton of feedback at any setting. If that is exactly how the Russian big muff actually sounds I guess muffs are really not for me. I know skullservant had both wonder if he could chime in on that

I've tried, made, bought, and tested a bajillion muffs. Okay not really, but I've played a decent amount, built some more, modded some, etc.

The ARC Big Green Pi is actually loosely based off of my Tall Font Green Muff, I actually lent it to Aaron so that he could get the Big Green to sound pretty damn close.

I got my Tall Font off a different forum about 2 years ago now, and is probably the last pedal I'll ever sell. I've tried to clone it using different specs, but it seems like mine is a V7 Green which is really just swapping out of a few parts, most namely the pf caps. Out of all the muffs I've tried and built, mine just has this really weird dense clarity to the distortion and LOVES being pushed moreso than any muff I've tried.

The BOE Blunderbuss gets kind of close to the sound, but is missing the low end. The EA Supercolider also gets pretty close to the sound as well, with the addition of the mids control. But nothing will 100% act like the Tall Font that I have as far as interaction with other pedals. It does have a gnarly tone suck, but I just throw it in a loop and I'm good to go!

i feel similarly about the civil war i had. it was supposed to be the last pedal i'd ever sell. and unfortunately i sold it. along with a lot of other gear i never planned to sell, but it's been a rough go financially and i've had to let a lot of shit go. but the dense clarity comment really applied to mine as well. such a rich heavy distortion. lots of people who played mine thought it was among the best muffs they had heard. i thought so too. it was just unique and it really loved being pushed. i don't know what it is, but when you get a good one, it's just soooo good. and seemingly impossible to replicate.

I've done the kits Before, Looking at like coming up with my own designs or tweaking already done ones to my own or others specs.

For a bunch of layouts I check out http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/. They occasionally post modded versions of stuff too. But the site gives you a good idea of how a bunch of circuits are put together and give you a good base to play around with to learn how to build and mod.

Yeah I used to hate white, but lately, I dunno its just grown on me. Could be cause when it fades it looks real funky.
Or could be that every fucking guitar I own is black, and I wanna get away from that, for once.
