Random life events:

Started my new job. Holy shit what a great decision. Sooooo much less responsibility and frustration. Of course, I will be working in a school, so I have no idea the chaos that awaits once the little ones get back. But so far being a government employee working in a school is extremely solid.

Holy shit The Elements is soooooooo fucking good. I know I already talked about that, but seriously. I love it so much.

My Nana died last Friday. She was the raddest, sassiest, awesomest little Italian lady that ever existed. I will miss her so much.

Not sure I like my Les Paul anymore. This is mostly because I want to sell it to fund that green Schecter Tele. Anybody know how well bigsbys handle lower tunings? Like D standard or drop C?

I'm 28 now. Which is incredibly unexciting. But my wife did get me the super deluxe QOTSA Like Clockwork vinyl - I am really enjoying that album.

I am 107% on board with the doom room pedal idea. Even though I can't solder to save my life.

Yep. That's pretty much it.

Wow t-rey, congratulations and condolences man. That's a roller coaster.

I turned 30 in April. Nobody even noticed. My dad bought be whipper-snipper. I'm still depressed.

Lori's LP makes me want a custom...one day.

I was gonna say, the only thing I've ever built from scratch has been a TB Loop pedal, and I'm not too hot with an iron, but that project sounds pretty cool, and then you guys went and made it rad...already.

Video was funny.

That's racist! ;)

Ha, the cat does not even have a name, we just call it black cat, or maybe I should branch out and say gato negro.

think twice about that before you end up in a situation where you call the cat nogger next to your african-american neighbour.

(looks like the N word is censored, for good reason. ya'll know what i said. thas rite.)

The first time I met our South African neighbour, he came down to our place to introduce himself with his little black poodle-dog. He seemed like a nice guy, but then he went to call the dog....its name was "Sambo".

I'm really sorry, Trey. When I lost my grandma, it left an imprint on me that I still haven't been able to change and fix. I've just learned to accept myself for it.

Trey, I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. Sounds like she was awesome and you should celebrate her existence to the fullest.

I'm really glad it sounds like everything else is going well.

Thanks for the condolences everyone - it's been a weird few weeks for sure. I was really close with her, which has strangely made the whole thing much easier than I anticipated.

Getting old is funny man. Like my birthday isn't a big deal anymore, but I got gifts and day drinking was encouraged so it was still a rad day

I ordered the yellow and green ones from relapse a bit ago and you reminded me with the pics. So I emailed them to ask when they were going to mail them since it has been a while. Then I look on the website and see that the one isn't ready till 7/23. I really wish there was a recall email button sometimes.

1) Sweet dude!!! I'm thinking I need to jump ship and find me a new job since my work informed me today that my leave request for my family vacation thats been planned for / requested for three months has been denied.

2) Told ya! :thumb:

3) I'm so sorry bro, both my grandmothers died before I was ten and I barely knew them at all. I feel for you bro.

4) Dude LP vs Tele is a tough choice, I'd make a recommendation but I'm sure you all ready know what it is.

5) Wait till 30 brah, it gets even more unexciting... almost depressing. Sweet score!!! My wife would have kept that for herself hahaha

6)

My condolences man, I had the great pleasure of knowing a little old Italian lady who came to the US after WW2. Her family and most of her village were killed by the nazi's and she only lived because she had been chasing down a stray lamb. She made it to the states on her own and made a life or herself here. I learned how to properly cook from her and although I only knew her for a short time she was one o those people who left a lasting impression on me and positively impacted my life.
The world needs more sassy Italian ladies, not less. :(

On a lighter note, I fixed my Sunn 1200s and its back to being awesome. The faulty cap was failing in a big way and the bubbling end was extremely deformed. I'm glad I caught it before it failed more drastically!
