Longest period of insomnia you've ever had?

but one time i went like 6 days without sleeping a wink, like in 09

I used to abuse my add meds in high school. I wouldnt sleep for a week at a time. Sleep in school for like an hour total maybe. Cant do it anymore. I cant stAy up for more than two days with out sleep. Most nights I only sleep maybe 3 to 5 hours naturally but im bright as sunshine the next day. My sleep cycles are strange. Its unhealthy, ive been working on it lately. I want to live past 80. Just gotta quit the cigarettes. But thats a motherfucker.

I have the complete opposite thing going on, I don't think that I have ever been able to stay up past 3:30am - I can't usually stay up past 1am most nights and I cannot even sleep in aswell.

I'm shitty at being young.

I've had a few 1 week periods of my own construction back in the day, unaided though probably 72 hours, followed by 18 hours of sleep. Me and a few friends discovered one of the strongest psychedelics you can find is sleep deprivation, so we went on some crazy binges to test out the theory. It works pretty well unfortunately.

I had a stretch of about 4 years (when my kids were born) where I was sleeping like absolute hell. I figure I was probably averaging about 3 hours or less sleep a night. But there would be days where I hadn't slept at all. I was a wreck. I would arrive at work and be sitting in the parking lot, zombified... and totally not have any clue how I got there. I would just crash out all over the place. Scary times.

Funny thing though.. no matter how good/bad I sleep I ALWAYS - without fail - wake up at 3:35 a.m.
I have no idea why. But I do. And it's happened for as long as I can remember.

I've stayed up for three days straight because I couldn't sleep. I've had problems with insomnia since I was four years old. I remember staying up for two days straight when I was a kid ALL THE TIME. I also remember being about nine and I was jealous of my sister for being able to fall asleep so quickly. I only get about 4-6 hours of sleep at night. I also stayed up for 5 days straight once when I was in high school to see what would happen. Crazy shit happens.

Around 50 hours was my longest period without sleep. Then I slept for two hours and was awake for another 36.

I proceeded to sleep for about 14 hours and was fine.

I usually get around 5-6 hours of sleep a night, and then I'm ready for the day. I fucking hate the mid afternoon evening slump though.

i still havent slept yet - i had to go a few blocks to do a couple things earlier. i was getting a new cellphone. standing at the register trying to remember the 2nd thing i was going to do.......... took me 5 minutes. well, at least 3. i just stood there with a dumbfounded look while they activated my phone

then i realized...i was supposed to go get a black cherry iced latte. that was my second task.
