Honestly i think were basically rewinding the 90s. It seems like bands are just rehashing either the shitty eurodeath peter tatgren sound or just ripping off the equally shitty cathedral. Either way theyre both shitty.

I really like a lot of the gear that's used to make DOOM and my target rig is pretty much a full DOOM rig, but most of what I listen to and play sounds a lot like this:
