Back to TGP? ... they deleted and gave me a warning for the following comment on the Dirty Little Secret:
"I need to try one, just listened to a couple videos and while initial impressions were good, do real Marshalls really sound like they have a stick up their ass? It has the muffled aspect of a Muff and some other pedals, not an open top end like I expect from a tube amp, and is rather fuzzy."

They say, as a pedal builder (despite being nonfunctioning at the moment), I can't critisize other builders. Actually, almost all my posts there are critical of some pedal or another, just Boss, DOD or nonspecific. Praise without criticism is meaningless and untrustworthy. TGP is still probably the best place for interesting gear discussions, but I'm tired of being treated like a second class citizen because of my technical qualifications and that I don't have the income level to keep me far, far away from this business.

i posted the ad for my 66 sg special over there last night, some guy posts:

"What do the pickups measure?"

so i pmed him and im like, you want me to measure the length depth and width of the pickups?

he was asking me about the resistance of the pickups. um, ok. im thinking, yeah, my name isnt Doc fucking Brown, I dont carry around a multimeter with me.

a couple pm's later he says:

"In case you haven't checked around folks do care about the output of pickups on vintage guitars....no, I am not in the market but as you can see, I have a lot of vintage gear...some P90s are really hot and others less so....curious about the resistance compared to ALL 60s Gibson SGs for the sake of discussion...after all,this is a discussion based forum....good luck with your sale btw."
