Help me with my Synthy Fuzz Quest?

I'd also imagine that vibrato, phaser and delay will be amazing with the Pixelfix.
Most of my synth / freak fuzz pedals don't stack that well to be honest, only with lower gain things maybe, modulation and delay is a different story offcourse, I find the Cosmichorus, Deluxe Pitch Pirate, Quasar DLX, Deluxe Memory Man and Timeline to work quite well with them.
The Amp50 makes my Wolf Computer a bit more stable, my Orbit is great with the Philosopher King in swell mode, the FOG and the Wolf Computer are both nice paired with the Octapussy.
Yesterday I ran my new Mini into the FrantaBit, the Mini on full gain with the bias 1/4 up and the FrantaBit in the degrade mode on minimum bit depth and maximum mix and it gave some mean and nasty double tracking type screaming synth sounds, nice and freaky!

Yes. Had good luck with envelope filters and swells and also chorus, too. I usually don't like chorus that much but if the tone is synth-like enough it starts to sound like out of synch oscillators more. I did this with an old DOD fx 65 chorus the other day with pretty awesome results. Also works quite well with like a whammy v before or after.

I like to use chorus that way too, indeed makes it sound more like out of sync oscillators, which is cool.
You might be hearing from me once the last flight of fuzz pedals is out (I'm checking the ones I can find here in the EU first).
Yesterday I got the before last flight of fuzz pedals in, all Devi Ever pedals, the only one I like is the Bit really, in my opinion the others all don't seem to have much low end and they compress way too much which makes them sound a bit muffled as well, as if the punch of the guitar isn't coming through or something, I'm going to send them all back.

Haha, I tried to win the Air Traffic Controller at the Effectsdatabase prize draw but it didn't happen.
The main reason why I didn't jump on it is that there seems to be no expression input to control the filter, being able to use the pedal as a standalone filter would really make it more versatile I think.
I'm also not sure whether a white noise sound is something I'd feel inspired to make music with honestly, I love sample rate reducers / bitcrushers but for instance ring modulators are not for me, that tells me that if the sound steers away from the melodies I play too much I don't tend to have the right feeling playing with it, if that makes any sense.

Your Compactron is still hella cool too man, would love to try one of those, I guess the Kill Switch kind of took it's place but still that Compactotron has got something in it's features and sound that just grabs me.

The KIL Switch came first... Killed me (ha!) with all the holes/wiring. I loved the Compactotron though. I'll do it again... I never realised so many people were into it!

You might scoff at this but the Digitech SynthWah/Envelope Filter pedal is a sh!tload of fun and wierdness. It sounds rad when placed before a fuzz pedal and does some super trippy wobbly feedback and static noises if you place a wah between the Synth and a Fuzz/Gain pedal. It doesn't really do straight synth tones though, just wierd spacey synth tones.

At about $120, The SynthWah is well worth looking into. it's probably the best cheap pedal I've ever bought. You could probably get one for peanuts on Ebay.

That said, its only downside is that it does give a noticably large volume boost if used on its own (from clean channel to SynthWah). It does the same thing if engaged without another engaged effect after it.

Yeah, I know that one, the bassplayer I play with has one, it's pretty cool, though I have plenty of pedals that do what it does and better when you combine them, for the price it's really great and it's got a nice bit of variety indeed.

speaking of synth, the Behringer BSY600 is worth a try. very nice sounds imho (thanks to bigchiefbc for the tip)
