I'm no Chris Cornell fan but I'm digging his signature ES-335. Satin Olive Drab with LollarTrons and a Bigsby. They have a Satin Black version with a stoptail too. Not needing another semi-hollow and DEF NOT digging that price but shit's cool beyond that...

Yeah, I dug that as soon as I saw it. I don't think I could ever pay that much for that though, not when you can get something like a MotorAve BelAire for the same money.

Exactly. You can get a Maton BB1200 or EGC Chessie for around $2500 with custom specs. A MotorAve BelAire is a bit more, around $4600 starting price here which seems crazy to me but I'd get that before dumping $3400 on a mass produced Gibson.AngryGoldfish wrote:Yeah, I dug that as soon as I saw it. That said, it's one of the more adventurous 335 offerings I've seen in a long while.

Cool color. I'm a sucker for green/blue/grey guitars and it's nice to see something other than the usual cherry/sunburst finishes.
Agree about Gibsons being WAY overpriced...you can get a custom spec'd heritage 535 for $1900 and up, and the build quality is so much better

I'm right there with you on the color preferences.hollowhero wrote:Cool color. I'm a sucker for green/blue/grey guitars and it's nice to see something other than the usual cherry/sunburst finishes.
You pretty much described every finish in my entire guitar/bass collection.

The fact that they've gone with green is really cool. It's as you say: adventurous. Non-Gibson pickups is also bold.

Yeah, those LollarTrons look badass. I've never tried a set before but the description seems cool.

Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
I've always wanted a La Cabronita with TV Jones Power'Tron+ pickups. They apparently sound in between a Telecaster chime and a PAF thickness. Some would compare a P90 to that, but P90's are much rawer and aggressive. I imagine the Lollars are like the TV Jones pickups: sweet and chiming, but bolder and warmer.

Yeah, that's basically how the online description reads. Sounds like a great choice for a semi-hollow!

That's what JustNick is using in his red G&L at the neck.Holy Schnikes wrote:Yeah, those LollarTrons look badass. I've never tried a set before but the description seems cool.
His demo with that guitar sound great!

Re: What is in the post? The thread of and for GAS!
I JUST HAD TO MAN. Naw, but really even with some height adjustment there is still a pretty decent volume drop between bridge and neck with the two single coils in there now. This should be interesting, and I guess if I hate it I can list it up! Will be interesting, that's for sure. Guess I'm just used to SUPER hot pickups like in the ObstructuresGrrface wrote:Haha, you did it after all, huh?skullservant wrote:Also, this is incoming for my Jazzmaster:
