I haven't used anything but GHS bass boomer heavy gauge 115's for as long as I can remember...
before that I used EB power slinky's.

No discussion to be had brohym, it fucking kills. The only thing that may be able to finally get it off my board would be one of Darren's Ape Blasters but I have a feeling they're just gonna end up side by side.

i can't wait for darren's ape blaster to get off the ground. it's one of the best dirt pedals i've ever played in my life. i can't imagine anything kicking it off my board. i've been rocking a prototype for almost a year now and i can't imagine having to play without it now. just last night at practice i was marveling over its goodness. such a sweet singing sustain for leads and such. and so crushing on the heavies. and just one awesome knob.

ape blaster proto i have is nice. Id like to change the input cap to something a little smaller so it chugs better but beyond that it has massive sustain

Yeah they are definitely nasty! As far as chocolate I agree with you, Hershey's is nothing special. I grew up going to the Hershey's amusement park during the summer, and my parents actually owned their own chocolate business for quite a while. So I got to go to all kinds of trade shows and try boutique chocolates. I've had galaxy before and thats one of my euro fave's, and Cadbury is just a classic. I'm a big fan of super dark semi-sweet chocolate, which alot of people hate because the taste is so strong, but that's how i like it.

I dig bitter dark chocolate too, but only in small amounts. The only problem I find with semi-sweet chocolate is how bad dark bitter chocolate is extra bad because it's so bitter. It's not even good for cooking at that stage. If you want to enjoy chocolate with a high percentage of cocoa and little sugar and milk, you have to spend more to fully realise its potential. Otherwise it's just bitter clamminess.

I'm really excited today...my band is have a rehearsal session tonight after a 6 month break! In that 6 months, I've basically written the skeletons of a full album, completely re-done my pedalboard and have a new guitar...and none of this have been played at louder than TV volumes...so plugging into 100w stack tonight is going to be absolute bliss. I've even told the other guys to turn up 30mins after i get there, so i can just have time to play with my pedals on a proper amp.

Glad to hear it, mate. Wish I could jam with someone again. I'm having serious withdrawal symptoms.

Hey dudes who have put vinyl out. Is Aardvark any good for making the laquers?

We used Aardvark for lacquers when we pressed our first record. I can't for the life of me remember who we used to press after, but we used aardvark for all the plating and things, then he sent it out to the pressing plant. I have Zero complaints with how it sounds, i think my only complaint was (if i remember correctly) was that one of the dudes that worked there got in a motorcycle at the time and it pushed their timelines back. Shit happens and we weren;t mad about that, but it took us a while to get a call back to find that out.

I don't listen to Sleep for this very reason. They're a good band and I fully recognize their impact and talent, but I don't like them that much. I have a record or two of theirs, but I never listen to them. It's just not my thing.

And I'm always glad when Serial Hawk gets some love! In addition to being one of the few buddies I really talk to about tone, Will was the first guy to hit the stage with an Ape Blaster besides me. It warms my heart to see you guys taking a shine. I think we're about to hatch a scheme whereby we play a kickass show together along with Lamprey and melt everybody's faces. I sure hope so
