Lovely "Technicolour Yawn" finish...

And of course it's been approved by my quality control man...

Thanks to the Ohnoho for the cool gadget, great service and free CD (which I'm yet to spin). But Lawrence, can I make a suggestion please - more packaging needed in the box, the pedal was rattling around in it like a mother and had actually come out of its protective bag. Cheers! :thumb:

I just arrived at my college and got into my dorm after the mailroom closed so I can't get my CHK CHK BOOM 'till tomorrow! Can't wait until I pick it up, even though I still need my equipment moved...

Great fun, this. :thumb:

It seems to work best with delay and chorus, getting some lovely screeches with the SMMH. Can't get a result with the Phase 90 or the Hoax alone. But I'll try again tomorrow when I can apply a little more volume...

I just picked up my CHK CHK BOOM today and it looks radical! Can't wait until my gear gets shipped over here so I can mess around with this thing. The yawn finish is awesome, by the way.

Yeah, and the CD that comes with it is pretty awesome as well. :thumb:

The Phase 90 features true bypass. I'm not the Chk Boom expert. Haven't ordered one yet. But I seem to remember them suggesting a buffered pedal (most Boss pedals and many EH pedals are buffered bypass). MXR prides themselves on always using true bypass, which is awesome, but my understanding is that the buffering is what generates the shit (scientific term) to make feedback. This sucks, because I also have the Phase 90 and Carbon Copy Delay, which in theory would be badass. I traded in all my Boss gear.

I also think, with my untrained brain mind you, that you can just have a buffered pedal, like a Big Muff, in your chain before the feedback loop.

Hope some of that shit fertilizes a plant of truth.

Need more fuzz!

I have an EVH Phase 90 which is definitely not true bypass, pretty sure other Phase 90s (and most MXR gearz) are buffered as well.

There's definitely no hard-and-fast rules with the CCB as far as buffers go, I get good results from a mess of both true bypass and buffered pedals.

Wizard's definitely been happy with how his CCB + Carbon Copy interact, as can be seen in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=159&t=5812

Got mine in the mail today. WOOOOOO.
I can reenact Little Buzzers (http://www.littlebuzzers.com/) with my Boss Blues Driver and Super Chorus.
I get my Boss DD-20 later this week and I can't wait to see the jank I can do with the CCB then.

Also, anyone have any tips for attaching velcro to the back without ruining the painted labeling?
