ok im in a bit of a panic cuz my hard drive FAILED DIED and i lost all my music

Hard drives are often recoverable.

If you can't access it at all, have Best Buy / comparable save it for you. They'll take it out, back it up on an external, and there's probably an alright chance you'll get lots/all of your stuff back.

well, that was what i would NORMALLY do, but the hard drive was smashed. it fell out of my gf's car and was run over by about 5 cars.

ive asked a few friends if they have any or all of the albums in mp3 (or better) format so i could just re-download some of it but most of them only have vinyl. which is strange.

so if anyone has any SY in a dropbox id totally blow you. or something.
