If you do, just make sure and save the old parts and don't do anything irreversible cuz as you mentioned, you'll NEVER get that money back out of it. Better off selling the guitar stock and unloading any hardware or electronics you upgraded separately.
This is a good idea. I do really like my '72 Telecaster Custom and want to work with it to perfect it, but I don't want to do anything structural to it. I just would like to replace the bridge, bass plate, and pickups, all of which can be reversible and relatively easy to sell again separately as you say.

Sadly even used for $1500 is way out of my price range.
I'd really love to try a Victoria amp, but like you I'd struggle to pay that much for one. $1500 is not bad though. There are only a few amps I'd pay over €2500 for. Carr and Soldano are basically two of the only companies to use military spec components and should technically last longer than myself. An SLO100 and a Rambler are two expensive amps I'd happily pay for, if I actually had that kind of moola.
This should probably go in the happiness thread!!!!111oneone!1111!1
I just got a reply from the dude who I sold my Larrivee D02 (old one) and he agreed to sell it back to me if I wanted. I am beside myself in excitement. I just peed a bit in my pants.
Really almost started crying when I read the message. There still is really nice and genuine blokes in this world. MUCHOS EXCITEDOS!

Good deals with:Achtane x2, King Rat, Fuzzhugger, Dr Scientist, Dog Boy, Raintes, strings2wood, vaguitarman and many more.
I'd like this list to grow so sell to me please :]
Awww.. that's nice, man. I'm glad it's coming back to you. It's easy to build a strong connection with good acoustic guitars, maybe more so than electrics and basses.
In: a Line6 DL4. Someone was offering this up for free on Craigslist cause it was broken. I gave the guy 10 bucks anyway. Took it home, plugged it in, works fine.
He said the last times he used it, it just made super loud noise. He included the adapter which was a Boss DC power, but that couldn't have been what he used since the plug is a different size, unless he jammed it on there (which you'd have to be an idiot to do).
