Phew, I couldnt help being worried it would get lost in the mail or something and I'd be at fault for all those pedals to pay for
I hope you dig them.

All done, boxed up and ready to send onto the next participant tomorrow. So here are a few words and videos now that I am through!

First off, a family photo:

Image

Now one quick thing I want to point out is not only how cool it is that these boxes are fully decorated, but that the insides are PADDED:

Image

I've owned over a hundred pedals, and have never seen that from anyone else. That is a level of detail and attention I can get into! Moving on, a few videos:

1. Lazer Fuzz & Death Ray Frequency Mangler

This is a bitchin' combo, or so I found, hence demoing them together. I shot an earlier video that would not transfer to my computer where I was getting these gnarly synth-y, glitch-y sounds by rolling back the guitar volume, hitting a note, and letting it sustain and freak out. Alas, I did not do a good job of recreating that, but the point is, these two pedals together is a killer combo. The Lazer is more raspy but also kind of, clawing? Or velcro-y, but more like, sandpaper. A different kind of abrasive grit. Lots of options with just one knob and a three-way switch. The Death Ray is also excellent, used to own one and foolishly traded or sold it. But my findings then and now were the same: it loves to be stacked. For the price, I don't think you can beat either of these in the fuzz arena.

2. Blasteroid Fuzz & Mad Doctor Stutter

The Blasteroid sounds absolutely great on its own with a variety of guitars. Just a burly, filter-y fuzz. Tons of volume. I used to own a Basic Audio Dirt Halo that was supposedly an Earth Sound Research Graphic Fuzz clone, and it was also loud and beefy, but in a different way. With two knobs as opposed to three on the BA, the Blasteroid may be more diverse with the underlying filter/wah sounds peeking through. Sweet pedal.

I previously owned a Mad Doctor and found it to be especially fun with an expression pedal (which I no longer own). Some cool creative possibilities with that slooowwww chop and maybe some delay. I apologize for not giving it more face time here!

3. Orange Cycle (synced with a Korg Monotribe)

This is where the Orange Cycle shines, and I wish I had spent some more time with it. But there are probably some great options with triggered weird patterns and noises using this thing. The Monotribe just seemed the most obvious of anything I own. Pretty damn cool box.

Thanks again to Idiot Box for providing the pedals, and our own Chankgeez for coordinating everything! :joy: :omg: :!!!: :p   :thumb: :yay:

Wow, thanks, insubordination. Those sound great.

All props are really due to Matt. I'm just a shepherd of fuzz.

And speaking of Matt, here's something new from IdiotBox:

I wanted to bump this thread for two reasons:

1) to share with you this new video Matt uploaded:

2) to please remind everyone to post in this thread when you receive the tourbox and also PM me tracking info when you send it out.

Thanks

just got to play with em for a half an hour
used the ISO5 and just plugged em in on my board
first impressions
the lazer fuzz is sick, has a ton of output
death ray and lazer fuzz were made for each other sounds awesome, and does some cool stuff into my slicer
mad doctor stutter is very cool, gotta invest more time
can't quite wrap my brain around the blasteroid yet, some good sounds but no sure how to use it best
orange cycle is rediculous amounts of fun, did some looping with it and ran it into my pitch factor for some fun may have to buy one
hoping to do some demo stuff early tomorrow morning

so far wicked impressed with both the build of the pedals and the first rate packaging and design
more details as I get more time to play

THE T-SHIRT IS AWESOME!!!!!!

ALSO: The packaging is probably the best I have ever seen on any pedal

this is my first poorly made demo for the lazer fuzz
tele and ac4tv

used an RV5-cathedral-supernatural-rc3 and some other jank
had a ton of fun, that fuzz at the beginning is super controllable and gets quiet when you wanted to perfect with a ton of verb!!!
