Don't be hatin on the Bugera BC15

Post by devideva »

But I needs helpz. Just got this tidy and mighteey amp - the mouse that roardzde. But I want to change the tube. The 12ax7 is a bit raw. I have a stockpile of sylvanias, tung sols and shit. It looks like the tube is in the chassis which is all one piece. Anyone fucked the shit out of one of these puny bitches, IE., changed the tube? Thank you. I might seem cool, but of course, now that you know I have a Bugera you'll want to stone me. People with med mare scripts, stone me away.

You'll want to put something like a 12at7 or a 12au7 in the spot of the 12ax7 if you want less gain. Not sure how to crack open the Bugera though!

That's the prob, the whole insides are hermetically sealed in a box. I read about how mr wonderful so and so 'merely' swapped tubes (speakers, tolex, transformer) and then effortlessly had as good as a boutique Assripple 5000 Watt Shitshower. But I'm not so technically savvy.

Please note the irony and don't run over the TGP to figure out just which version of Scott used to be a NASA spacewalker.

Hey - I've heard a Bugera used on bass, and it sounded awesome. Let's not go hatin' on ye olde cheap but effective, people. If the amp loves fuzz, that's all that matters.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.
