Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
It goes First, 2:1, 2:2, Third, or fail. First is out of my reach which is a REALLY good grade, but it should be a 2:1 which is good, solid and is generally the requirement for most post-grad things.

Don't forget to talk to the baby yourself. Have big conversations with her. She'll love it.
Sweet!
Oh don't worry i've been doing that for months, my wifey thinks i'm nuts hahahaha
Your vocalist is very familiar. Her singing style, that is. She reminds me of a couple of other female vocalists I really dig, like Julie Christmas and the lead singer from Girl in a Coma.
This is just an observation more so than a critique. I don't expect you to change your style as a result of it because I'm not aiming to change anything. It's literally just a curious observation. The way the guitarist on the left is regularly playing alternative picking for the melodies, have you considered changing that up between songs? I noticed you use the synth/keys as an alternative to a regular third guitar player. I like that. Maybe the synth could swap roles with the right-hand guitarist playing the Epiphone Les Paul Custom every now and again. It just becomes repetitive after a while. That's going to sound like I'm criticising your work. I'm really not. I'm just offering an opinion, an opinion I don't expect will possess much weight or go on to change anything. Not because you don't care what I think but because this is your style and that doesn't need to change for any one man.

Awesome! Thanks Dan! I will definitely pass along the compliment to her!
As far as our lead guitarist most of those songs were written during a "post-rock" influenced time period of the band. Where more often then not the majority of the band requested a "rapid-fire" guitar line, which is kind of his specialty now a days. I completely agree that it becomes repetitive after a while and most of our newer songs (none of which were played in that set) have differing lead lines. Trust me this has come up during the writing process before, your not the only person whose made that observation. I really do value your input, thank you broham!

I didn't know it was physically possible to love and hate someone at the same time. Now I do.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I'm not a role today. My new pedal arrived but I had my headphones on so couldn't hear the postman at the door. I now will have to wait until next week to pick it up. Not only that but I was bitten by €45 worth of taxes and duties.
Also, my beard trimmer broke so I now need to replace that, and I accidentally performed the worst Freudian slip ever. I don't even want to say what it was it's so bad.

It's amazing to me the appeal that this stuff has. Most folks love it even if they are not into the heavies. I love showing people the "Wires" video for the first time.

It really is. It 'makes sense' to a lot of older people who cut their teeth on Sabbath.
Plus something with a stoney groove is hard to fuck with. The power of the riff compels you. Etc, etc, etc.

Yeah I've been doing that with my old man, except he music snobs me and compares to the massive wake of Sabb, which is to be expected. He likes some stuff though.
