fuck
the reality of human nature sucks
like
legally you are allowed to fart
on a packed subway
during morning rush hour
but in the interest of not being a complete dick
you dont do it
some people do
and lets say most of them do it by accident
and accidental farts and messed up pedals do happen
but theres a person
that farts on that subway on purpose
or at least doesnt try to hold it in
or doesnt apologize
or blames it on someone else
or does it as hes walkin out the door
DONT EVER BE THAT GUY
that's the BOTTOM line, yeah
cool beans, Behndy
congrats on getting it backI make pedal demos as East Stomp Boutique - http://www.youtube.com/c/eaststompboutique

It's great you're getting your money back, Behndy. Hopefully this guy learned something about customer service, and the consequences of its absence. High standards in this business, and reputation is everything.
Like, I sold these pickups I took out of my telecaster on ebay; I specify no returns. They work great, though. Guy installs them, doesn't like them, wants a refund. So I say "sure, send them back, and I'll refund your money. Sorry they didn't work out for you." I need the good feedback. I'm hoping this guy doesn't give me bad feedback just because he didn't like the pickups, and I'm wondering how much wire he cut off the pickups, and if he somehow ruined the pickups when he installed them. Money lost.
My point is, accepting returns and eating the cost sucks. Pedal builders that will do all that for their customers are awesome; the one's that won't are just, human.
I agree with you to a certain point, but he could have handled it a tad more gracefully. But I do get what you're saying.

i think the law clearly states(as of 5/23/13 1:35pm est):
"Paypal inc reserves the right to fuck your heiny,
any and all ways they see fit,
to make your (and only you) buying/selling experience
more miserable than you could ever imagine"
for full discloseure of my feelings
i spelled someones email address wrong
immediately found a number for paypal and called
an actual person picked up after two rings
and reversed the payment right away
i was sure the money was lost
so they got a brownie point on that one
maybe theyre just tired of my butt
im all stretched out and used up
and i dont cry anymore
they like behndy better than me now i guess
he must be a bleeder
its so funny
when theres nothing left to complain about
"hey so whats up with paypal, right?"
its like go to venting material

Either you're an amateur selling a few pedals, or you start taking serious stash for pedals and you start behaving like a small business. I expect less than stellar service from people doing stuff for shits and giggles. I expect people running a business to have good business practices, which includes good customer service. That's in no small part what you are paying for in the "boutique" industry, and there's no excuse for not delivering. And his whining about losing money doesn't wash either. Dude is not getting his planned rate of return on a single unit, nothing more, nothing less, and that should be factored into his pricing. There's no way I'm feeling sorry for him when it's his own QC that led him to that point, and his own poor customer service that sparked this off.
There are too many cowboys making pedals, and too many good dudes making good gear and treating customers right to put up with sub standard anything.

Re: Luck Duck Pedals - no refunds, 8 Bit Duck is shite
Man, the stuff I'm seeing on here is blowing my mind. You are all so wrong about that company and the dudes behind it. It's actually making my heart sad. This is a prime example of how the internet can quickly lead a person to reading and believing lies that are spread by smooth-talkers and their friends who would back them up whether they're full of shit or golden truth. I support Luck Duck Pedals and wish other people would see how blown out of proportion (and more importantly- distorted and one-sided) this is before deciding that they don't.
Also, for such a premature company to get a ton of negative/false shit written and passed around the internet over (for all you know) their first and only "mistake", is probably more damaging (more-so in the short-run, but still) than you might think. I saw the YT video, and stumbled on here pretty easily. While I do think most of you are here cuz you're simply bored, it does seem like a few of you know a thing or two about what you're talkin about. My point to that is, all of you knowing how a small company who is too young to have a lot of good stuff out there about them could indeed be hurt by an equal or greater, and truly unfair, amount of negative stuff- you sure are quick to side with the only perspective of this thing that's being put out there. Which is undeniably natural- I mean you're all fond of each other it seems, and you know each other on here, and it feels nice to band together and support your friend who is supposedly being treated poorly, by what you are all describing as an evil monster who barely deserves to live, much less be good at building unique effects and attempting to be a successful small business in an ever-growing market. But I mean c'mon. This is more than likely a first and completely isolated incident, that you are obviously only hearing one side of. I've seen a few people say stuff in defense of them on the video, and maybe one or two on here. But you don't see anyone who actually knows both sides say anything, so they're seemingly defenseless, and that's never a fair fight.
And from reading the way you were all so quick to attack this company, I wasn't even surprised to see that once Behndy posted about what seemed like a pretty damn good resolution, you still couldn't drop your pride and admit that maybe you were a little quick to judge them. Instead you justify your previous arguments/"points" by saying, oh it's just cuz yer so "popular" and they're so afraid of you. It's like, get over your damn selves. Yea, maybe any bad exposure IS hurtful to a small company, I mean that's not rocket science. What happened to grace, and trying to see the good in people/support people rather than being the first to try and destroy something over what appears to be a very human (as I think someone else said on here) mistake.
Again, mind-blown by the way everyone on here was so quick to bash Luck Duck Pedals. It actually makes me sad.
(Also, I know I'm gonna get a tonnnn of negative responses to this because I'm obviously the only one here who isn't "friends" with behndy, --hence, the one-sidedness that's present on this thread-- but whatever, I don't have anything else to say, I kinda sat back for a while not wanting to jump on here for that reason, but I want anyone who stumbles on this to at least have the thought that this is definitely not the best method of deciding who to support or not).
MANAGEMENT EDIT, added 5/26:
This appears to be Luck Duck using an alt, posing as a satisfied customer, to defend his attempt to rip off an ILFer.
