lol. there's a kid on TB that wanted it if i was just gonna chuck it, i warned him it might not be in the best shape, but if he was still interested (TB is WEIRD) i could have the last person wing it that way.

A refund minus 30 percent is a joke. You stand behind your shit or you don't.

And this is how builders fuck themselves on the internet.

I don't know everything that went on here, but it sounds like Behndy got fucked, and when that happens to people, they take it to message boards. We host user-generated content. I will not spend my days deleting every thread that offends businesses that, it seems like, were asking for it anyway. What's been going on this month with guys with businesses wanting to edit this forum?

My comments in this thread are my personal feelings, as an ILF participant, not as an admin, not in any official ILF capacity. 99% of the time, I don't comment on any threads that might be seen as "bashing a builder:" as a builder, I want to stay out of the fray, and way out of murky customer service issues. I know that you can't please everyone, and I don't want builders to get bashed here over every petty, minor customer service issue (because occasionally, they do happen)...but when someone gets screwed (example: pedal doesn't work, no refund is offered, refund policy is changed), and they've exhausted all avenues of communication with the builder, and they come with pics/vids/emails, I'm not censoring them...this is a forum, and this is the internet; I think this is how both are supposed to work. And so my comments here reflect my personal opinion; despite my position on the forum, I'd like to be able to comment as just another user here.]

There's no trolling. The carrier signal is louder than it should be and it's bullshit that he's not giving a refund. If really just a thread on a forum is enough to "ruin" this guy, then his product must not be worth a shit

Why did Paypal not come through? The pedal is broken, as in it's defective (the unusable, loud whine it emits from yours is far louder than other people who own the same item).

i was going by the answer Luck Duck dood gave, and chose the Not As Described option. i think because he went and edited his site to add the no refunds thing that went in his favor. it doesn't seem like there's any point in trying to pursue it with PayPal.

In hindsight it might have worked to add in the link Grrr posted which showed the site as it was around when you bought the pedal

it's really not. there was nothing on his site about no refunds or a reshelving fee or whatever he wants to call that Here's SOME Of Your Money Back he offered me. i have screencaps and Grr and Chiefy linked to the archived versions of his site. he added that right before responding to the PayPal claim.

it's so weird. i honestly think this pedal is broken. Chet says his doesn't sound gawd awful like this. but Luck Duck guy said that's what it's s'posed to sound like when i originally emailed him.

sooooooo....... i mean...... not to be petty....... but since i'm out $150 for a admittedly neat looking useless paper weight, i'm okay if any hooplah costs him a few sales.
