i think the idea is that john hurt doctor did some poop during the time war that wasn't in keeping with why The Doctor calls himself The Doctor and in november we're gonna find out why and also see redesigned zygons and cybermen action

I've been reading TONS of stuff from like mad oldschoool Who fans, notice the outfit JOhn Hurt's doctor had on? half Eccleston, half Baker? So John Hurt is almost for sure the real 9th "doctor" but not really a doctor, ya know? when the Great Intelligence called him all the names, The Storm, The Beast, the third one was The Valeyard. Valeyard was the prosecutor in Trial of a Time Lord, the last Baker series. So the assumption is that Hurt's doctor is the one that time locks Galifrey and deals with the Time War. I'm so stupidly excited about the oncoming stuff. I still don't know what Zygons are but I'll get to them after I finish the Baker series. to be fair, though, the Cybermen have consistently changed since Tomb of the Cybermen, every series a little more technologically advanced culminating with the way they were a few episodes ago

yeah, its totally eccleston's jacket, and the vest from 8, so its basically all but confirmed that he's the one that did the deed. i couldn't really see 8 actually executing it, anyways.
the zygons are these cool one-off baddie from the baker years and were just this kinda iconic, campy as hell, but still really cool bio-tech villains and junk. Tennant's favorite, which is why they're in the story
