Not that I've ever heard.

Ebay has basically destroyed haggling with companies.

like this is way too much for this

it doesn't even come with the original trolley and the tolex and grill cloth are fucked

$250 or $300 is a much more reasonable price

I tried haggling them on the price of one of their Kramers they had online and they said because it was in the vintage section there was no negotiations on price even though it was marked up a few hundred dollars. It's a pitty they have all this sweet shit sitting around that's going to rot because they are asking too much and won't let you talk them down on it.

It may definitely be worth a shot though, the worst they could say is no, you know what I mean?

Invite them to take a seat on your rug and drink some tea, smoke some shisha and just see where it goes.

The one's in Chicago do. I asked about an amp they had and the guy said that he couldn't go lower on the price because it had only been there a few days, but if something sits for a month or longer they can negotiate a price. I'd just ask for the store manager and be up front with him.

Yes, yes you can. It has to be listed for over 60 days then they will haggle a bit. That's how I got my Dingwall. I talked them down 200 bucks in price. Not bad.

I watched my warmoth that I have now for over a month on the GC used site. I watched it go from $1200 (lol) to $500. So being patient helps, but I think it all depends on the store. GC can be pretty cool for used stuff. I recently sold a bass to GC for exactly what I was asking for on craigslist. pretty cool.

When I lived in Michigan, I never paid tag price for an item at GC. I would bundle and haggle.

SInce I have been in Arkansas, it's a much smaller store and they havn't haggled a bit. May also be changing of the times, due to their debt.

I hate to jump off topic but I am never ever setting foot in one of those stores if I can't help it ever again. The worst customer service.

yea, most of them blow, but it really depends which ones you go to. The one in Little Rock just remodeled and now has a bunch of demo rooms, where you can demo stuff and leave people in peace.

it's entirely dependent on where you are. in the Bay Area they're utterly immune to haggling; they're a lot more amenable in the Chicago area.
