This is my sg....ive had it for 13 years. Its a prototype of the gothic series. It was made for the guy from disturbed but he never collected it so it sat in its shipping carton at mars music in orlando fla for a minute. Its a waaay thicker body than a normal sg and the neck is massive but it weights like 5 lbs. It sounds like god. I put some sperzels on it and a baphomet but thats really it. I want to change the pickups but theyre like.....destroyed by my picking and they look so good.

DIg that pick check on the upper horn. Always thought the crescent moon inlays were pretty rad.

I disintegrate picks. Heavys last a little over an hour before they should probably just be changed because theyre worn down so low that im just beating with the tip of my finger. I switched to Vpicks and theyre holding up pretty well.

I got this Melody Maker SG for $262 bucks after it went on clearance at GC. Stock pickup was wussy, and the bridge was old school wraparound style. A Duncan Invaver, Tonepros locking bridge you can actually intonate. Tuned B-B with a custom D'Addario set.
Oh yeah, it also goes to 11, that was easily the most worthwhile mod.

With my utterly awesome Ultra VI.

Brand new they're totally worth the $250 or so.
I like the neck, not as chunky as most Gibsons, but not insanely skinny.
Roasted maple fretboard sound killer to me, fuck tha haters.
Stock bridge is shit though, that needs changed ASAP.

not exactly an SG, more of a Guild clone, but...
i took this DeArmond 7 string, converted it to a 6 (i like wide flat fret boards), changed the bridge & tuners, put in a different pickup (GFS Dream 180), made that wooden pickguard...probably other stuff i'm forgetting...it's a weird guitar, but i like it for certain things. it has sort of a trashy garage/early psych sound to it.

:!!!: Kick ass, I also love wide flat boards. I dig the GFS Dream 180, installed them in a few guitars. What's the scale?

it's 25.5. makes sense, since this is from the Fender-built DeArmond era. it's a really bright, biting guitar.

wow, if you downtuned that thing you'd be able to bend notes from here to Kansas City across that fretboard.
