They suck.
I just got this DVD, super cheap. I'm looking at it, and it is French/Canadian. Like, it has English and French on it. Will it play in the United States of America? I could send it back, but I'm lazy.

It should be NTSC and thus playable in Murrca.

Try it
worst that could happen is that it won't play. It should, though. Canada's part of the region 1 coding.

Pffft, I don't even know what you're saying.
Just kidding, I didn't want to open it and then the company be like "Well you opened it so we're gonna slap you in the face with boners/nonreturnable."

Re: Region Coded DVD
That makes sense. I've bought some used DVDs off amazon that came coded for different regions, I assumed you were dealing with a similar situation. That's weird.

Most DVD players are regionless these days anyway. They stopped pretending that shit actually works a while ago.

Re: Region Coded DVD
most players can be made all region with a few remote control commands. NTSC/PAL conversion might be needed, though, too....but, yeah, french canadian shouldn't even be an issue.
