i somehow justified buying three because i'd get free shipping. they have three edges so i figured i'd wear them slower. maybe, just MAYBE i i'll make money on it by not buying new picks but.. one of them has to equate the life expectancy of 10 of the picks i use now, price-wise.
I checked out their website, doesn't look like their metal or woodtone. Definitely report back with your findings, me personally I'm a bit skeptical of 10$ guitar picks but hey you never know!

samzadgan wrote:thanks man appreciate the advice...i spent a lot of time looking into the MJW amps and like you say they are really nice amps. As it turns out though, i pulled out my Orange and played it to test it before i traded and after not playing through it for a couple of months, i fell back in love with it. Its just such a nice sounding amp on clean, and i played with the dirt side to just add a very small touch of gain, just a little below breakup...and that with the Sarcophagus sounds amazing. So the plan now is to keep the orange until i start to gig and then ill sell it for a Laney GH100 head.
but all that research into MJW has really given me something to think about if i have the money someday for a custom build.
Yeah, stick with the Orange if you're happy. You have the Rocker 30, right? I really dug that amp. It's better than most modern Oranges, IMO.

When everyone was talking about how good the mxr micro amp sounded, I decided i needed one and when i couldn;t find one cheap enough, ordered a kit to make one off of GGG. I've never made a pedal in my life, and I have no idea how this will turn out.

yeah thats the one. It is a great sounding orange...we rehearse on Rockaverb 100's and i've played on my friend Tiny Terror...and they are nothing compared to my R30.
I use gravity picks. I love em. hell send you a free one if you email him and ask. I use 3 different models, they add a sweet sparkle to cleans and they last a long time. AANN they glow in balck lights!!

Not because of what he writes but because the chapters are 1-3 pages SHORT, it's like it was written or told by a teenager. I hope the guy who wrote it for him is at fault.
Them boys knew how to party. It's probably all he can remember
yes. they know how to party - it's like a collection of craziest night out-stories
And the sheer amount of drugs they did can't possibly result in a memory/mind capable of more than 1-3 page stories
Other than the exceedingly short chapters, how is it? I really enjoyed Ozzy's book, and was thinking about picking up Iommi's in the near future.

well they are handmade/polished. Im pretty sure they are a type of acrylic. they dont abrade much if at all, ive had one for a year or two now and looks brand new. they do sound different but its hard to explain. With a clean setting it seems to add clarity and sparkle, when playing heavy it sounds good I guess haha sorry im not more help. Also they come in ULTRA FAT sizes and hey slide off the string very smoothly and are less noisy because of it. THEY LOOK KOOL.

We have the same disease, friend.
Good luck dude. Building is fun. I actually got inspired by the distortion+ and will be putting together a modded one that my other guitarist or bass player might use. I was also thinking of putting a distortion+ and a micro amp in the same box.
