I once worked with an old-timer who had a "guaranteed" cure for hangovers, although I never tried it.

2 cans of ice-cold Pepsi+2 chocolate donuts+2 Midols. I never had the stones to actually buy the Midol.

Pu Erh Tea from China. The Chinese use this for their hangovers, and there's a bunch of Chinese people in the world, so therefore it must be true. You have to get used to the taste, it tastes like cardboard scraped out of barnyard dirt. Hippies probably just call that "earthy." But I have two cups a day - I don't use that shit they sell in "Teavana" - too Americanized, they add flower petals to it and promote it as weight-loss tea. The Chinese drink after heavy meals or heavy drinking. I recommend any on-line source like Redblossomtea.com (Peter the buyer there goes to China twice a year and gets the real deal).

Sometimes its sold in bricks (like Hash), and some of those bricks are hundreds of years old. Like wine, the older the better. There's a whole culture of Pu Erh snobs out there willing to spend thousands of bucks on their bricks. Whole Leaf is way cheaper and works for us music folk. There is almost no caffeine in Pu Erh, so you don't crash from a caffeine rush.

a shit ton of water, before, during and after your drinking escapades. The recommended ratio is 1 glass of water for every drink (that's one 12oz beer, or 1 shot of liquor). I find a light, healthy breakfast works better than a big sloppy greasy breakfast does for hangovers, even though that bacon grease milkshake sounds awesome at the time. Pick something that'll rebalanced your sugar, cause that's part of the hangover IIRC. Also, salt tablets (or electrolyte tablets as they're sometimes called). You MUST drink lots of water (which you should have done anyways) if you take these, or you're going to get dangerously ill. weed always makes me vomit when I'm hungover, but THC and I never get along anyways.

The best cure is to not drink so much to begin with, but yeah.
