i mean, it's not a GOOD movie, but it's got shit like the Creepy Old Romani lady attacking Main GrrL after her dentures get knocked out, forgetting, and trying to bite her face. but ending up gumming her entire lower jar and drooling all over her.

and there's some bad shtuff in the middle. bad, MEAN shtuff.

i'm kinda in a spaced out frame of mind (yay vicoden!), so i experienced that movie way different than i usually get into with silly horror stuff. i love being in a theater with friends that get how dumb but fun everything is, yelling at the screen, WOOTING AROUND.

but i think.... Raimi is.... the ultimate Surrealist Horror guy. but like, COMMERCIALLY surrealist. he's like if David Lynch wanted to make movies people actually liked, had a sense of humor, and grew up on Neil Gaiman and EC Comics. and adored Bugsy Bunny shits. i'm surprised he hasn't had a scene where Satan shows up after striking a bargain for someone's soul, they're cowering in fear of their dark master, and instead He throws a pie in their face and giggles. it's gonna happen. PLEASE let it happen.

next up is My Name Is Bruce. i am ESCITE. love me some Bruce Campbell so damn much.

there's the awesome story about when he was doing a speaking thinger and announced he wouldn't be signing anything. people were dissapointed. after be apologized and said it just wasn't that kind of night, one dooder stood up, took off his shirt, showed how his whole upper body was covered in Evil Dead poster tats and deadite tats and Pimpy Bruce tats.... pointed to a spot above his heart left blank and said...

Tatted Up Man - "i wanted you to sign here, this is my tattoo artist sitting next to me-"

Tat Artist - "HI BRUCE!"

Tatted Up Man "-shut UP Devon. but we were going to go to his studio right after to have him tat over your signature right NOW NOW NOW. "

Bruce The Campbell - "well, i'll sign THAT. anybody got a pen?"

I keep hearing about a spoof Kung Fu movie called; They Call Me Bruce. Something along the lines of "With my right foot; I kick you in your knee. With my left fist; I punch you in your face."

Is this an actual thing?

meh. Lynch can suck it. Eraserhead was good, Wild At Heart was mostly good. everything else is him maturbating onto film while repeating "i'm so great i'm so deep no one gets me i'm so DEEEE-HNNNNNG.".

lol. all the Spidey's are bad. i remember liking the first two when they cale out, but they do NOT hold up. so glrhavallghejalh. but yeah. three is just an abomination.

Blue Velvet was good. i never watched Mulhully 'cause i don't really dig Lynch. he does a lot of good parts, but for me it's offset by the feeling that he tries to be weird. there's not a naturally evolving story that he wants to tell that is a different perspective, i really do imagine him groping himself, giggling and trying to figure out what do i add here to make it SO EDGY AND STRANGE.

Oh man, you should watch Mullholland.

Not that it will change your perception, but it's a really good movie.

Also, I haven't seen Twin Peaks, and I've been meaning to. This just reminded me of that.

now imagine Lynch is the one that tried to do the Evil Dead trilogy. not only would Bruce Campbell have stabbed him, but it aould have like body horror aliens turn the deadites into leabians that all look alike and just dissolve into a psychedelic piddly poo of shitty pseudo intellectual visual references.
