I still want one, but right now the Elements is covering the OD side of things. My only issue is the amount of bass from this fucker is causing my cab to act like a weak little bitch. It seems like it almost can't fucking handle that shit. Especially if I kick the Xerograph on or the Second Voice Deluxe. I...I think I need a better cab or! If anyone has any other suggestions. Would an EQ pedal help? I mean I play around with the basses pre and the amps eq and get to what I dig and it's just over-driving the fucking shit out of my cab. Soooooooooooooooooooooooo yea....help?
So; do you have blown speaker? Blown Tweeter? Or are you just getting overwhelmed with bass frequencies. That was my only issue with my Avatar B410NEO. The cab just seemed naturally voiced to heavily in the bass and sub bass frequencies. And my Warwick can be really heavy on the bass frequencies as well. Tried with a number of amps; GK and Ampeg SS and Tube and while the tone was different,...that thump was still there. Could have been the NEO drivers or the design of the cab. I've never tried Avatar with conventional magnet drivers in it, so I have no basis for comparison. The tone would have worked well in a Dub or Reggae band, and sufficed in the work that I did with my bands; but I want a more authoritative and punchy bass tone. It would be nice to have both if I'm honest. Almost too deep for that rumble but not overpowering the mid and treble ranges.
