Most versatile cavity

Post by Bellyheart »

I'm about to start on my telemaster quest and and unsure if I should get the neck routed for a p90 or jm. I definitely want the p90 in the neck, but may want a jazzmaster or other things in their at some point, which I doubt, but if I DO! Which pup has the most options (ie telecaster in p90 form, strat in jm form).

Novak has a JM-type neck pickup that is essentially top mount. not needing a body cavity. I've seen him sell them with Tele and Jag guards. If you were going Novak for a JM neck anyway, that options up options for your basic neck rout.

Swimming pool + pickguard. Change your mind? Just swap the guard.
