I really don't know shit about amps, and I hate guitar center. I'd like to be able to learn about them or something. It'd be bass amps.

Yeah, but there's no substitute for jamming on gear. I mean, I know what a Dual Rectifier sounds like cos it's on a million god damn cds I've got at home, but I still don't know if I'd like to own one cos I haen't played one. I know what a Marshall plexi sounds like from watching demos and reading, but is it for me? No idea.

It doesn't help when shit music stores won't let you turn up a 100w tube amp past talking volume and you're somehow supposed to judge if the amp is rad or not. Which it probably isn't because most music stores in my neck of the woods sell rubbish anyway. :picard:

well DUH, but I don't really know how to shop for it. if you were looking to build a computer on your own and you just bought random shit you wouldn't end up with a very good build.

had to get some new sneaks
so went to guitar center
i needed a case bad for my samick
none of the cases fit
its an sg shape
but its a bit more bulbous
so i got a roadrunner universal
but it actually fits nice in there
also grabbed a behringer wah for cheapo
never had a wah
so i figured id try it out on somethin cheap/free
my boner for a g400
that ive had for about 15 years
went out the window tonight
wow that necks not for me
you know what also blows
the lower end gibsons
they seem to be worse quality than the higher end epis
my gas got flipped on its ass tonight
i could have spread this post out
into 6 different threads
ill try and keep my bs in little clusters

The guitar center by me will usually let you take an amp into the vintage room if you want to actually take it for a ride. :?:

The two guitar shops in town don't even have any sort of enclosed room. It's weird, even the bigger shops in Stockholm don't really have isolated rooms - although I could be wrong, it's been ages since I was shopping in Stockholm.

The guitar shops here are total shit too.. they don't really want you to play.. like.. at all. I wanted to try a Boss Phaser (PH-3) and the dude was like "only try it if you want to buy it" or something... Now HOW THE FUCK DO I KNOW IF I WANT IT IF I CAN'T TRY IT? Never bought anything from there again... the other two stores are cooler, but they don't really have shit.. one is some kind of vintage and/or boutique shop where you can find old marshall heads and vintage gibsons, but if you want a patchcable you're at the wrong address.
the other one doesn't have shit.. I wanted to buy a pack of guitar strings... they only had strings for acoustic and bass left...

enough of my rant..
I have major gas for some fuzzhugger stuff, but no moneyz.. had to spend some on the motorbike. guhh.. I can't wait until school is over.. then I'll have 250€ a month for 6 months.. MAJOR GEAR MONEYZ!

Awesome dude, so you liked what you heard at Musikmesse huh?

Congratulations on your upcoming NAD, you've been talking about this one for awhile so it's great to see the time has finally arrived. :thumb:

Thanks duder!
Musikmesse was an Option if i may change my mind because of new stuff - but nothing grabbed my attention. I somehow want sth. Voxy, EL84ish, so my decision should be the right one. Let's see. Fedex says that the mofo should be here in 2 days once the money arrived in England... NAD, awaiting you! :doom:

What did you get, a 3 Monkeys?

Yes, here it is already:

Yesterday was a hardcore GAS day, new amp and this fuzzy beauty arrived:

Out: Eau Claire Thunder
In: POG 2

I have to admit I did this only because the POG 2 seems more valuable in trade/cash (& I'm planning on getting a Baby Thundaa anyways). I'm kinda hoping I don't end up liking it
