Re: The Video Game thread
that's what was weird to me is that rpg's were my favorite genre growing up, and i LOVE post-apocalyptic/steampunk/cyberpunk stuff. After The Fall settings have always really intrigued me and odd interfaces with tech (THAT I SO WANT TO HAVE IN THE MEAT WORLD) are just beautiful. the i was SUPER moist for Fallout. AND the setup story is really cool. the think with the different Vaults? VERY cool.
but it was like playing Oblivion. just booooooooooring. mebbe it's just that i don't mesh wel with western or modern takes on actiony rpg's? i looooooooooooove the Borderland stuff, but it's more of a FPS with an upgrade system added up in thar.
Bio Infinite isn't bad at all. it's a good game. just not amazing. i took naps. i go play some more.

You know what was good about Oblivion? Every single thing except the Oblivion gates. They are horrible and I never even bothered getting through that crap in fact even attempting to enter a gate gave me a server migraine.
That said all the Elder Scrolls games are pretty much what you make of them. In the words of TotalBiscuit they are "an ocean with the depth of a paddling pool" (he was referring to Skyrim specifically but it works for all of them).

I liked the me2 dlc missions. But by the time I finished me3 and got through the "meh" ending, I was kinda over the series and decided not to bother with the dlc

Oh it wasn't that horrendous. Eitherway, refinished with the Synthesis w/EC and I thought that it was pretty good.
Given up halfway through on downloading the DLC, was taking waaaaaay too long - i'll finish it some other time.

Bastion
Dead Space 2
X-Com
Bioshock 1
