Yeah, it sounds like a cross between the vibe from their Crystal Dagger fuzz and the Whetstone.

Not many left at that price and thus why it might be a 1 time buy thing

Says 1 left through amazon, but there's like three other suppliers with the same price that have them in stock. Probably a closeout pricing or something. I personally stopped using monster cable after I found out about them oversizing the ends, not believing it, and then actually having it happen to one of my guitars and having to replace the output jack.

I have had good luck with my 1 monster speaker cable, i have had it for atleast 6 years with no failure. So i probably will stick with them for speaker cable but yet to use say their instrument cable

Haven't had an issue with the Monster speaker cables on my amp/cab jacks yet, hopefully never do. However, I HAVE had a problem with their "Rock" instrument cable, tore the jack apart in an old Boss ME50 multi-effect years ago. Sucked, stopped using Monster instrument cables after that.

I wonder if the speaker cable even use the oversize plugs as they don't seem to stress the jacks one little bit and seem smooth and trouble free when inserting or removing. The instrument cable plugs will actually get stuck in jacks quite frequently. Maybe they just use 'em on cables that get moved around alot, like those hanging out of a guitar/bass. Maybe not tho....

EDIT: Dude, I tried to pm you some pics of that neck problem I was having, but it won't let me attach shit (or I'm too fucking tired to figure it out),so I'll just stick em here and that way others can put in their 2c as well.

Also Ax, here is a pic of my old rg that your strat rung my bells over

Doesnt look like a huge problem, paint cracks as wood dries out and moves around. If its playing ok and nothing scary is happening i wouldnt worry too much, thats a coomon place for that, the top horn looks like a bigger chip happing though. Keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse.

AxAxSxS wrote:I think it was tj asking about running 3 amps?
Anyways. Ensure all the cabs have the speakers running the §ame way. Just turn around the cab and run them facing different directions. If it sounds better that way, change the polarity in the odd man out cab. I use the 200 watt amp with a bass foldedhorn bass cab and then the 2 100 watt heads with conventional cabs. One goes to a 4x12 and one runs the 2x15 and 2x12. I have stereo out from the gt-10, left goes to the bass (kicker) setup and right goes to a 12 band eq so the 2 other amps get some mid and high end boost.
Super simple! This may be why the ditto is on the chopping :erm: block

Niceeee. i got a splitter and the cosmichorus has stereo outs so i think ill use the two in tandem!

Good on ya man its tough but youll feel awesome once you get to fill up your new room.

I think monster cables are bullshit. The ones i tried barely fit into/came out of my amps. Ive seen the insides of them and they are no different than any other decent cable. They just have a fat jacket to make you think its better ahaha. I make my own instrument cables and they are about 3 times cheaper and I hear no tonal difference. I use mogami cable and neutrik connectors. Granted, Nick got a decent deall on them so in that case its no bigiie, but full price wars id say monster loses my vote.

Thanks TJ, I'll keep an eye on it, but playability-wise, she's still all sweet.
I figured it was just cosmetic, but thanks for confirming that, dude!

I'm gonna be the roadie for the Druden tour at the end of the month/beginning of next month. Not gonna be at the Washington shows, though.
Super excited about it. Are any of y'all gonna be out for any of those shows?

i was planning on saying it, but i haven't been internetting much since we had final confirmation. i've been so busy working, hanging out with my awesome girlfriend, doing shit at my house and getting drunk that i haven't had much time to post this fantastic news. i'm so excited about our shows, but i feel pretty much equally excited that will is coming on tour with us. it's going to be such an awesome time. it'll be cool to see/meet dudes from here too.

AngryGoldfish wrote:It's really cool that you roadie for each other. I appreciate that friendly, helpful, and modest mentality. You might take it for granted and do it without question, but it's not something I've been around much in my experience. It's a novelty to me.

in the spirit of full disclosure, when i toured with WITTR, they paid me. i had a job at home and the first tour i went on was simply because i was going to get to travel with will again and spend time together and i was going to get to see bolt thrower. and go to europe for the first time. the money was nice, although i could have done well staying home too, but traveling with friends is the best thing in the world. but we're not paying will. he's just coming along to be awesome, which he's really good at. i'm hoping it's more of a vacation for him. but then again, there's very little work to do for druden, we sell between zero and ten items of merchandise a night and only have our gear to load.

Tj, that should work. Just check the amps and cabs like I said and it should be massive sounding!

I'm kinda loving this Ltd. Edition Custom in TV Silver, basically rubbed off/weathered/aged silver I guess. Two negatives that stand out to me tho, it's a '57RI instead of a '68 and it costs around 5K!!! WTF Gibson?

that is a nice Silver...i think i would have preferred if it was just a Silver top, with everything else being black. But still $5k is ridiculous

Dude love me some Cough! I got to play / hang out with them at SHoD 2011. They live about 2 hours south of me in Richmond VA.

Parker is the bass player, and is good friends with SkullServant on here. His rig at the band practice space is ridiculous, like 5 8x10's and 1 2x15 and a couple rics. One of these days hopefully me and skully will head down there and have an ungodly loud noise jam. :yay:

Brandon is the guitar player with the FZ-2, he's usually using a Sunn Model T reissue. Really nice dude, we spent like 30 minutes talking about the Reissue Model T's, he loves the dirt channel tone but it's not loud enough for that band. He said it seems to only make a difference if they aren't mic'd or have a shitty sound guy. Which is apparently the issue they had there.

David (I believe is his name) is the guit / vox with the big muff and rat. I didn't get to talk to him much but his rig sounded sweet.

tl;dr: Cough is a local legend to me.
