I went to my local GP about two years ago to talk about very private things and this hawwwwwt girl was sitting in the chair opposite. I was like, 'hi... ehhhh... who are you?' My GP stepped in and explained and I went 'Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh'. I went straight to the business pretending that I didn't care, but I did. I so did.

i had hemorroids last year. that's about it. wasn't anything serious but wasn't cool at all either. glad i didn't have a girlfriend at the time. that would have sucked.

1) I'm 28. I feel 68 most days.
2) Someone convince me not to buy that modern player jag.
3) Might sell my Elements. Interested?
4) If you dig grind, check out my buds in Call of the Void. My big dumb face is all in this video, haha.

I've been trying to resist the urge to not buy it too. I know if I get it I will end up flipping it later because p90s just don't work that well for me. I love the way they sound, but I hate the goddamned hum that they have. I could replace the pickups, but lately I have just wanted to have all stock gear for some reason.

That video rules by the way.

The good thing is that from now on, i can buy anything else without feeling that void.

This is exactly why I won't sell my Les Paul. I never play it, pretty much hate all hardtails, dont think its very comfortable to play with the squared off edges. It sounds great, but I can cop those tones with other guitars that suit me better. I know if I sold it I would regret it and start obsessing over gibson stuff. Now everytime I think I want another Gibson I pick that thing up, play it for a couple minutes and I'm cured.

AngryGoldfish wrote:I know it doesn't really help the situation unless you have a ton of money, but I'm of the opinion that simply swapping out the pickups and hardware on a cheap guitar doesn't necessarily produce a guitar of similar ilk to on that comes stock with those accompaniments. In other words, the fret work, the woods they use, the wiring, the finish quality, these are crucial parts of a guitar and can't always be improved upon. So you can swap everything out, even the neck on a bolt-on guitar, but you're still left with a cheap hunk of wood for the body. I know Skip is a master at this and I know loads of others who happily do it, but I think there is some truth to what I'm saying.

I gotta disagree to a certain extent. Especially when It comes to fender/squier. I can get a fret job done in about an hour that will fix any rough ends or high or low frets, I habitually rewire and shield every guitar I get if it was not done at the factory, woods I believe are less important than electronics. One of my best playing strats started out as a purple starcaster. Now I actually like it better than my USA strat plus and it looks like this-

And speaking of modding cheap guitars, my Kramer now has new pups in it. I need to do some height adjustment and still want a nicer bridge, but it's sounding really good now.

I'm 39. Old enough to know better.

Here's what I'm working with. Will add a Volto power supply when available and call it good.

See the Proselyte tonight along with two of my friend's bands and Kowloon Walled City tomorrow night. Fucking rad. On top of that the TC Flashback x4 should be shipping out to me tomorrow. Very pumped on that. Anyone rocking one of these in here?

I'm kinda glad it wasn't still up. I went for a walk and made my mind up that I was gonna snag it when I got home. I had a little money left over from my taxes that I'm going to use on new tires. Had pretty much decided that tires weren't as important as a guitar that I would probably flip in a month or so. Thank you to whoever bought it before I did.

Haha, same thing here. Walked the dog, thought "Fuck it, I'm buying it," and came home to see it was sold. Definitely for the best, as I took the money and paid off part of my CC bill instead. Adulthood. :picard:

Thanks for posting this! I remember someone posting this in the other doom room some time ago and I really liked the design but forgot to save the link. I would really like to have a guitar like that, the firebird/iceman combo is really cool. Some pages back I was describing a custom made guitar that I would like to put together and I had this one in mind when I was describing what I wanted.

I missed too much cause my Internet died, who makes those guitars? Those are pretty sexy.
Also it looks like we're talking bout arse again. I turned 30 last week and I dread every day I get closure to regular prostate checks. So Ryan and Sam, hats off to you guys...pants stay on.
Ax that strat looks fairly boner inducing, I'm with Ryan on sharing more of that.
